Complaints Management
Learn how to quickly and effectively deal with complaints
|
Disagreements are an inevitable part of running any kind of service and when that service involves people's children you can be guaranteed misunderstandings and conflicts will occur.
Learning how to quickly and effectively deal with complaints is an important part of running a child care service.
Communication
Good communication is vital and should begin before a child is even enrolled in your service. Offering parents a written contract which outlines your service's terms and conditions will give you the opportunity to talk everything through and for them to ask questions. Make sure the document is easy to read and understand.

Pre-School Funding Increased Community based preschools receive a significant boost
|
Community based preschools across the country are set to receive a significant boost this financial year under the Government's National Partnership for Universal Access to Early Childhood Education.
Under the Partnership the Commonwealth, State and Territories have committed to achieving universal access to early childhood education for all children in the year before school by 2013.
Specifically, every child will have access to a preschool program in the year before school for 15 hours a week, 40 weeks per year. The programs will be delivered by a four-year university qualified early childhood teacher.
The Commonwealth is providing funding of $970 million over five years to 2012-2013 to achieve universal access. An additional $15 million over five years has been allocated to develop better data and performance information.

Child Care Vacancy Alert
New process enables you to more accurately identify and contact parents seeking child care
|
CareforKids.com.au is always looking for ways to enhance and update our systems and new enhancements to Child Care Vacancy Alert will enable you to more accurately identify and contact parents currently seeking child care in your area.
Based on your comments and feedback we have now improved our system to deliver more high quality information which should enable you to connect with parents more easily.
In January this year we audited the Vacancy Alert system and identified those parents who had registered and successfully found care but who may not have deleted their registration.
We then implemented a new process that requires parents to confirm that their registration is still valid by clicking on a link that is emailed to them on a monthly basis (view example).
A registration only remains valid after we receive this monthly confirmation. If no confirmation is made then the registration becomes inactive and is deleted from our system.
The benefits of this change started to filter through immediatly. We expect this ongoing audit process will significantly improve the quality of parent registrations.
