Meet Jess and Ray
Getting back to work was only part of the motivation to put Ray into childcare but it was his sociable nature that really led Jess on the path to start searching for childcare in the first instance.
Jess chose a not for profit, community day care for her son, Ray. It was because of its close connection to the community, and it being partially run by a parent committee that Jess kept it on her shortlist in the first place.
What took it from her shortlist to her chosen day care service was the convenient location.

The benefits of childcare
Jess was thrilled at the benefits childcare afforded Ray. Not only did it give him the opportunity to build friendships and interact with other children his age but he got to take on new challenges in a new environment with new things to explore.
Her advice to every parent considering childcare?
“Think about it early because it can be pretty challenging to get a spot where you want it. Do your research and get in touch with them even before the baby’s born. That’s what we did.”
