This improved functionality will give parents greater control over how they view and filter vacancies, so now more than ever it is important to update your profile and ensure your information is up-to-date.
With more than 3.5 million people visiting our website annually it's worth spending a bit of time to ensure your service isn't missing out.
In addition to updating your vacancy and fee information, be sure to include your NQS rating plus information on additional services such as weekend and/or overnight care and any extra-curricular activities or tailored services. If you are interested in participating in the government's new Nanny Pilot Programme then you have until 22 October to submit your application.
The two-year pilot aims to provide subsidised care for about 10,000 children by helping families meet the cost of using a nanny.
The program is targeted at families which struggle to access early childhood services because they work non standard hours, or live in regional or remote areas or away from existing child care.
The Nanny Pilot Programme Guidelines provide further information on how the pilot programme will operate, including eligibility criteria for service providers, families and nannies.
A Nanny Pilot Programme fact sheet and frequently asked questions are also available.
The pilot programme will formally commence in early 2016 when service providers begin matching nannies to participating families. The start date for a nanny will depend on a family's requirements, and when a suitable nanny is available. We expect that the take up of the pilot will grow over time as more nannies and families are progressively matched and care commences.
The pilot programme will run until 31 December 2017 and an independent evaluation will take place throughout the pilot to help the government determine the future of the programme.
Service providers will be selected through an open competitive selection process that will assess capacity, experience and competency.
