Huge props to early childhood provider KU Children's Services, which has been recognised as an Employer of Choice at the 2017 Australian Business Awards.
This prestigious award acknowledges organisations, which have developed leading workplaces that maximise the full potential of their workforce through practices that demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.
In 2016 KU was the first early education provider to ever win the award last year, and with another gong this year, that makes it two in a row!
In an industry plagued by high staff turnover rates and staff shortages KU has built a workforce of 2,000 employees across more than 140 services, KU CEO Christine Legg said KU is delighted with the win.

To apply for the award KU was required to demonstrate achievements across the key areas of
- Organisational Culture and Leadership
- Employee Education, Training and Development
- Employee Health, Safety and Satisfaction
- Performance Management; and Recognition and Remuneration.
KU have forged the way for other early childhood providers to apply for the award and we hope to report on this next year!
