Reclaiming the Romance this Valentine's Day |

As a parent it's easy to be cynical about Valentine's Day: The fact that marketing starts just as soon as the Christmas decorations have been put away and the guilt inducing stress that slowly creeps up on you when the Realist in you claims "it's just another day" and the romantic in you says "go on why not make an effort this year".
For many sleep deprived, time deprived and energy deprived parents it's often all too much to try and book a babysitter and a restaurant and get dressed up for a night out with your partner.
But take a moment to pause and reflect: How long has it been since you have been out? Was it a memorable night for you and your partner? Did it give you time to reconnect and talk about something other than who's turn it is to drop the kids to school and take out the recycling?
Although Valentine's Day is schmaltzy nonsense it is a fixed date in the calendar and an excellent excuse to go out and do something special with your partner.
This doesn't have to involve teddy bears, red roses and chocolates, especially if bushwalking, scuba diving or art galleries are more up your alley.
Just make a commitment to do something that both of you will enjoy and that will give you the opportunity to spend a few hours alone together.
"But we don't have a babysitter' …No excuses I said! CareforKids.com.au can help you book a fully accredited and experienced babysitter, who can help you on Valentine's Day (and any other day for that matter).
So, why not make 2017 the start of a new Valentine's Day tradition and book your babysitter now!
