We made it! This is our last newsletter for 2018 and as such we thought it timely to say a big thank you for your continued support and for being a valued member of the growing CareforKids.com.au community.
At CareforKids.com.au we are always looking for ways to make it quicker and easier for parents to source and secure high-quality child care when and where they need it.
This year's introduction of the Single Child Care Subsidy impacted all families using early childhood services and was probably the most significant change to the system since the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate were first introduced. We worked hard to ensure all parents in the CareforKids.com.au network had the information and resources necessary to ensure a smooth transition to the system.
In addition to this education campaign we also:
- Launched our New Child Care Guide, the single source of information for parents and carers looking for child care. This early childhood 'bible' includes resources necessary for success at every stage of the child care journey and is available free to families in the CareforKids.com.au community.
- Introduced Vacancy Alert Plus a game changing service that puts control of child care search more firmly in the hands of parents by sending a text every time a child care centre posts a new vacancy that matches a parent's needs.
- Provided up-to-date information on the government's new In Home Care Program, to ensure eligible parents had all the necessary information to access the initiative.
- Supported child care providers to offer and promote occasional, casual and flexible care options, facilitating the development of an early childhood system which best meets the needs of parents.
- Expanded and updated our library of articles and resources to consolidate our position as Australia’s most comprehensive destination for information on child care.
We're looking forward to another busy and productive year in 2019 and in the meantime would like to wish you all a safe and peaceful festive season.
Happy Holidays!
