After all, this is your baby we're talking about and finding the right village to care for them is not just important, it's imperative.
When the child care service is chosen, the educators are in place and the big day arrives, it's all the nerves that you have to do your best to mask. Because we know children feel every bit of emotion we let off, staying positive will help both you and your child feel optimistic, and help your child settle in the new environment.
Your new mantra is, ‘hold it together just a little while longer'. And you do.

By walking down that path, through that gate of your child care centre, battling your inner voice, you're somehow reassured. You know that despite the possibility of your child initially rejecting the notion that you're leaving them for just a little while, you're doing the absolute best for them and their future.
You're helping them build resilience, gifting them the opportunity of learning independence, growing friendships with other children, and above, all allowing them the opportunity to develop self-help skills they'll use forever.
Early education is critical to a child's future success and should never be overstated. The International Early Learning and Child Well-being Study states, “The first five years of children's lives are crucial to their development. During this period, children learn at a faster rate than at any other time in their lives.”
