Nominations for the 2017 Australian Family Early Education and Care Awards are now open.
These annual awards publicly celebrate outstanding contributions in the early childhood education and care sector and aim to encourage Australians working in all areas of the early childhood sector to aspire to excellence.
There are four award categories:
Early Childhood Educator of the Year
Early Childhood Director of the Year
Rising Star Award
Early Childhood Service of the Year
If you know someone who deserves special recognition for the work they are doing in the early childhood sector then why not nominate them. Anyone can nominate, including families in a service, colleagues and friends and as an added incentive all nominators go in the draw to win a trampoline.
Nominations close on 10 March so hop online and nominate now!
After the nomination period has ended each nomination will be reviewed by the judging panel to determine the finalists.
Finalists will need to demonstrate their achievements in practice and commitment to five key areas aligned with ACECQA's National Quality Standard. These five areas are: improving the wellbeing of children, improving the children's program, improving the early childhood service, on-going professional learning and development and improving inclusive interactions and partnerships with families.
The national winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held in June.
