Early childhood education and care provides the foundation for learning for life. Let your child’s learning story begin with us! 

Story House Early Learning Lara is located in the heart of Lara, we are a growing service centrally located within a developing country community. Being part of a rural town, we have many opportunities and are able to embrace all that the Lara community has to offer in natural resources and environment. We cater for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old and provide a 3 and 4 year old kindergarten program with 2 fully qualified ECT Teachers. 

We are a natural play-based Centre, where children learn and develop through indoor and outdoor play within modern space full of engaging experiences created by our dedicated Educators. Our 3 large yards provide ample space, catering to our different age groups which have many amazing learning areas for exploring and adventure play. In addition, there are herb and vegetable gardens that children engage and care for throughout the day linking to our passion for sustainability.

Programs

To create a sense of familiarity and security for the children, the educators follow a predictable daily routine across the centre. This then allows the children to explore and enjoy their day while feeling safe in their surroundings. 

The educators make the most of the facilities to include a mix of both indoor and outdoor learning activities. They consider each child’s individual learning styles and needs to ensure that every child has the support and opportunities they need to thrive.

The children can participate in swimming lessons and cooking activities. They can also attend excursions and often welcome community visitors into the centre for incursions. Nature play is encouraged to teach the children about sustainability and caring for the environment.

The school readiness program supports the transition to big school, helping to prepare these children for life beyond Story House Early Learning.
