Happy Kids Family Day Care has been in the Childcare industry for more than 19 years. It is owned and operated by a highly qualified Early Childhood Educator. The educator recently won an "Educator of the Year" award regionally(in the North Shore and Northern Beaches) in recognition of her talent, dedication and passion. The main educator use to work as a medical and dental nurse for years, which led her to work with families and children with a diverse cultural background.
Our mission is to provide the perfect place for children to learn and play in a small group environment that is safe, fun and nurturing. We promote sustainability, healthy eating habits and a wide range of stimulating activities that are appropriate for each child. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which is designed to extend and enrich children's learning from birth to age five.In addition, we provide a school readiness program that supports the transition to school.
Our programs emphasise child-initiated play, which revolves around a basic daily routine and structure. This is achieved through various creative activities such as art, music, drama, physical movement, gardening and more.We have a custom-designed outdoor play area that is secure, featuring small equipment, sand and water play. We have a fully air-conditioned playroom with beautiful colourful toys in different areas for various play experiences that will keep your children happy, active and interested . Happy Kids FDC is not just a daycare. It is a classroom. Our Early Childhood Educator will teach, guide and assist your children to learn to listen, focus ,gain confidence to be independent , to explore their interests and to encourage their love for learning .
In light of the widespread nature of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak , Happy Kids FDC has been monitoring daily updates for more information as we notify families of our continued support and posting issues/announcements to avoid the spread of Covid-19 to other families, children, educator and staff. HKFDC's Educator has completed a Covid-19 Infection contol Training and we continue to educate ourselves in order to be equipped with knowledge in understanding and preventing the spread of this virus. Happy Kids FDC is accepting 4 preschool children in a day with children from 1 year to 4 years attending presently. With a small number of children attending HKFDC, there may be less chances of your child acquiring serious or common illnesses.Exposure to a greater number of children in a big daycare setting may lead to more chances of exposure to contagious illnesses caused by bacteria or virus such as Covid-19 or the common flu. While attending HKFDC parents can leave their stroller in the side entry way or park their cars at Massey street where there are available free off-street parking. Parents need to only bring 4 items for their children. Clothes for changing, sunscreen lotion and food. It is recommended that parents bring their child's food for ease in monitoring of what and how much their children have eaten during the day. Food allergy is also prevented among children when parents bring their child's food. In HKFDC, children learn to be independent by organising the food containers in their bags .They learn to be responsible with their things . Bringing your child's food is also an excellent way to prepare your child when he/she attends primary school. Children as young as 1 year learn to open their own food containers and eat on their own which is one of our learning activites in our classroom to encourage independence.Parents contribute in this activity by bringing the right type of containers with lids that their child can easily hold and open. Families contribute largely in their child's learning skills by encouraging independence even at home as part of their child's extended learning experiences. There are more "Practical Life" activities that your children will learn through our intentional teaching programs here at HKFDC. Join us and be a part of HKFDC's small community of families.
