We have been waiting to get into this centre, and finally we received a call that both of our girls had a position... We have been waiting to get into this centre, and finally we received a call that both of our girls had a position for after school care. We have used another service in town Sherpa Kids - we were most disappointed. The fees were much higher - no educational program, just babysitting. Most staff look very uninterested in caring for children during their afternoon. Toys were not suitable for school age children. The program is run from a play group room - for very young children. High staff turnover. And the owner is having problems running the business. They have closed their day service and wasn't going to wait for after school to close. They only gave parents a few days notice. First day I picked the girls up they didn't stop talking about all the activities they did in the afternoon. Coloured water in test tubes experiments - reading - homework time - using internet to assist with homework which save me time on our return home. The environment is more suitable for school age children, the staff are very warm and energetic. It was a very nice feeling as a mother to pick my girls up knowing they had a great time while I was at work. Thank you Stripy Zebras! Read more
