At Only About Children Leichhardt Elswick Street, we take a holistic approach to childcare. Our innovative programs provide high quality early learning with a focus on early years education, health and wellbeing. We believe this integrated approach gives every child the best opportunity to reach their full potential. 

Our two-level Campus is a converted convent, located at 215 Elswick Street, a short eight-minute walk to the Light Rail Station. This Leichhardt early learning centre is a short walk to the popular Pioneers Memorial Park, an expansive green space with ample room to play and explore and a fantastic playground for children of all ages. With plenty of street parking on Elswick Street, families can enjoy a smooth drop off and pick up with each visit. We are conveniently located near public transport with bus stops nearby that connect to the wider area. 

With two large, dedicated outdoor play areas – made up of beautiful trees, sandpits and paintings reflective of Indigenous culture – children have plenty of natural space to explore, create and lead their own play. Our children enjoy contributing to their vegetable patch, compost bin and worm farm. Our four age-based indoor spaces are designed to encourage children to learn and grow with a focus on safety and natural elements. 

We enjoy getting out into our local community through planned excursions and community activities that build on our educational curriculum and the children’s interests. At our Leichhardt Elswick Street childcare centre these include walks around our local area, looking at the various architecture surrounding us, and visits to our neighbouring school library. Our children enjoy regular visits from our local fire brigade, police and dentist. 

Access to our Health Program is inclusive of your child’s enrolment at Only About Children childcare Leichhardt. This innovative program includes specialist screening and support in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition and Vision. Our nourishing daily meals are also included in enrolment. Your child will enjoy a seasonal menu, designed by a Dietitian and prepared fresh each day by onsite cooks. 

At our Leichhardt childcare centre we believe that our Educators are our greatest strength. They are qualified and passionate about creating an early learning environment where your child can feel happy, nurtured, stimulated and safe. We support the development of growing minds, in nursery and preschool aged children, through our educational curriculum – Oac Grow. Our programs focus on exploration, technology, literacy and numeracy, sustainability and creative expression. All of our teachings are offered in an inclusive, fun environment.
