I am a fully qualified trained Early Childhood Teacher (Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education) and have experience in the Montessori background too. I also have more than 12 years of working experience in the childcare field and have First Aid (including Anaphylaxis asthma management), CPR and Blue Card.
I believe that early education sets the foundation for children’s lifelong learning journey. As a teacher, I consider it important for us to provide the children with a rich environment where they feel safe to explore initiate learning and feel free to express themselves. One of my hopes as an educator is to instil a love of learning in my students as I share my passion for learning with them. For me, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. Teachers need to recognize each child as an individual with unique strengths and interests.
I feel that all children deserve to have a quality education that can be provided to them with fun. I also think it is essential that children should be viewed as important beings who are capable, efficient and confident to learn for themselves. Therefore, I believe, that we need the children to be given the space and time for them to improve, explore and enjoy their experiences with fewer interactions with adults.
A good education should build an effective collaboration between the teacher and parents. This can greatly benefit the child because then parents can help them progress on what they are learning in school. Therefore, I desire to provide a friendly and comfortable environment for the children and families to feel welcome to the early learning journey.
