I was nervous enrolling her as she was so little but ever since she has started going here I have had a great experience and observed she has been having the time of her life. The staff are consistent and caring. Miss Davina mostly takes the children in the morning and has a super bubbly personality making the drop off easy pleasant 💗She makes the children laugh and smile and interacts with them pleasantly🙊. When rushing to work in the morning she helps me put Elinas shoes 👞on when my daughter is being a grumpy pain in my a**🍑. Somehow I drop her off in the morning like a hot mess and she comes back in the afternoon with a better hairstyle done by her educators in Emus class 🎀. Despite all the activities playing outside, painting, eating etc she comes back with clean clothes. Miss Kayla was Elinas first educator and she is super gentle with babies 🐥🍼and has a warm nurturing personality and has good tips for learning mothers. Miss Jade and Maddy have been Elinas next educators in a class up. Miss Jade makes sure Elina is eating well (offers her more food) and that she is trying a variety of different foods as she is a fussy eater🍝🍓🍌🥕🥪🥗(really Elina wants to get away with a candy and chocolate diet 🍭🍬). Miss Jade encourages Elina to eat well and wean her off dummy sucking and is observant of elinas growing friendships, “gentle hands” 🥷🤝 and developing learning speech skills. Miss Maddy teaches them their best dance moves, silly faces and blowing bubble lips 👯♂️💃🏻🤪🫧🫧. Open arms l work well with services outside of their centre such as dieticians to ensure wholistic care. At Open Arms Elina does lots of arts and crafts 🎨such as painting, gluing, and sensory play. Open Arms have organised special days for mothers/fathers days 💐For Easter they decorate the yard and do an Easter 🐰 hat parade and for Christmas 🎄🎅🏻they have a fun filled Christmas week. There’s always lovely decorations in the reception to mark different celebrations and events. On rainy days the children have rain suits to splash about and in hot summer days organised water play days 💦🦩🍉. Elina has started to toilet train and has never had nappy rash 🚽. I always see Elinas skills being unfolded and encouraged and do things I didn’t know she was capable of. Children can celebrate their birthdays 🎂🎉 with their class friends. They also get involved in making treats to eat. They have organised an educator for dance classes for the children. Elina has learnt songs and dances such as “sleeping bunnies” “twinkle little star” 🌟and “ABC’s ”. She suprises me at home when I realise what she’s learnt and it makes me really happy. In the mornings they read a book as a class📚. Open Arms have a nice HUGE yard for children to play including slides, swings and sandpit and cubby house, see-saws, bikes and walkers and playground 🛝⚽️🚴 encouraging physical activity. They also have a garden teaching children about plants and gardening👩🌾🌻🌼🪴 They are really good with lost and found. Elina is always dressed weather appropriate by educators even if there are sudden weather changes🌤️🌦️☔️❄️🌈. We get daily updates of their activities and pictures and have an app for live updates on what they are eating, drinking, sleeping, applied sunscreen etc. Vanessa and Naomi handle the reception well if there’s any questions or updates they are always really helpful 👩🏫🧑🏫 It’s really nice to see her peers staying consistent as most of her class friends have also been with Elina since she was a baby; it’s really cute seeing them grow together 📈🦁 Open Arms is a big part of Elinas childhood and I’m glad I found this centre. Elina always leaves smiling in the morning and stretches her arms out to her educators. I wish I am able to enroll myself into open arms and not go to work 🤭 🙏 Read more

I'm currently doing my practicum at this daycare and I've had the unique chance to see how the educators care for and engage with the children. This is an absolutely amazing team that really gets behind the children’s interests and follows their lead, all while sticking to the high standards of early childhood education. A lot of the staff have been here for years, so there's no constant changing of faces, which means the children build strong, heartfelt relationships with their carers. The staff here genuinely love and care for your children. They really get to know what each child is into and how to support and nurture their growth. Each child is known and cared for here. It feels like this daycare is a second family for the little ones who are lucky enough to be here. Big thanks to all the educators for helping me out during my practicum! Read more
