Bronte Kids Preschool Centre overview
At Bronte Kids Preschool we understand that children learn at their own pace through play, interests and meaningful interactions with others. Early childhood is a vital stage in human development and lays the foundation for future learning. We believe young children should have time to play, try new things, have fun exploring the world around them and just be.
We strive to create a healthy and safe environment that will allow children to be creative, stimulated and curious.
We regard the environment as the third teacher therefore a constant effort is applied to all of our indoor and outdoor spaces to create natural learning environments that are designed to encourage wellbeing, wonder and belonging. We recognise that we all contribute to the wellbeing of the environment that we live in and we encourage educators and children to discover a respect for the land, nature and animals. We provide opportunities for the children to care for and watch our plants and veggie patch grow outside, whilst also encouraging the use of our worm farm, where they sort their food scraps into appropriate bins each day.
Bronte Kids Preschool strives to provide a meaningful, integrated, emergent curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework; a child lead program that is embedded into our everyday practices and routines. We highly value the role of our educators in building genuine relationships with each child as this underpins our program and enables learning to occur. A balance between intentional teaching and play-based activities is essential to childrens learning and fosters every aspect of the whole child. We also incorporate extra-curricular activities into our program from outside agencies including tennis, yoga, drama and music.
Our educators observe and share the children's learning experiences, extend the child's thinking and intentionally introduce the children to new learning. Educators are committed to ongoing training in the childcare field and meet on a regular basis to continually update and improve the quality of service and standard of care we provide. All staff continually take part in up to date professional development workshops.
Bronte Kids Preschool endeavours to create a "family-like" atmosphere and recognises the importance of creating a link between home and the preschool, where both parents and educators work in partnership to develop the child as a whole in a mutually supportive and caring environment. We regularly organise morning and afternoon teas with parents as an opportunity for everyone to come together. We also host parent evenings throughout the year and these provide a platform for parents to have a voice and chat with educators.
Our service is open from 7:30am to 6pm

So lucky to have been a part of this amazing, lovely preschool! My son was at his happiest here. The lovely teachers helped bring him out of his shell and he is now full of confidence in big school. Thank you Bronte Kids for looking after us so well.

Great Preschool with an atmosphere of a family daycare but brings the knowledge to the little ones.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
2 years - 4 years
The educators in the two to four year old room provide an environment focused on expanding perspectives through experience, understanding and relationships. Social connection between the children is encouraged, and there are plenty of opportunities for the children to take part in long-term investigations.
4 years - 5 years
This room provides an environment of inspired, child-directed investigation, explanation and actuation. These children are preparing for the next steps in their education at school, so the educators encourage them to develop their sense of wonder and natural curiosity. The children are able to investigate without barriers, so they can ask questions, disagree, discuss and be open to multiple perspectives.

Hi my name is Ninette, I love providing a home-like nurturing environment for your children. I have three children of my own and understand that each child is unique and develops in different ways. I am young at heart and love having fun with the children!

We recently transitioned our son to Bronte Kids Preschool, and we couldn't be happier with our decision – we only wish we'd made the move sooner! The staff are incredibly caring, welcoming, and truly engaged with the children. Being a smaller centre, it offers a wonderful sense of continuity, and it's clear that the staff genuinely invest time and effort into getting to know each child. The outdoor space is fantastic, and the centre has a lovely, close-knit community feel. We highly recommend this preschool! Read more

The center has seen a change of management since May 2023 and a high rate of staff turnover, which has made things uneasy for the parent community (and no doubt for the center itself) at times. However, we have been delighted with the steadiness and care that the educators at Bronte Kids have shown our daughter since she started there at 3 years old. Our daughter comes home most days full of happy little stories and knowledge to share. She has formed meaningful friendships as well as real bonds with her room's educators, who consistently go above and beyond to help her feel secure and at ease. They have supported her needs and curiosity as an individual, and encouraged our daughter always to be herself at an age (~4) when peer influence is new to kids and can be overwhelming. It's worth saying too that the space is clean and well-kept, with lots of natural light, quality toys and books, and a sweet outdoor area. Throwing our hat in the ring in support of this lovely place, which deserves every chance to overcome the teething issues raised in its recent transition. Thanks to all who have been part of our daughter's learning. ♡ Read more

Both of our children attended Bronte Kids until Kindergarten. They made wonderful friends and plenty of happy memories at preschool. They loved the outdoor space and enjoyed free play in the garden, especially the water play area and sandpit. The carers are genuine, kind and take an interest in each child’s development and have been very supportive of our family. I couldn’t recommend this preschool highly enough. We will really miss Bronte Kids! Read more
