The Green Elephant Farm Early Learning and Preschool Horsley Park
The Green Elephant Farm Early Learning and Preschool Horsley Park Centre overview
Welcome to The Green Elephant Farm Early Learning and Preschool
Set on a breath taking 2.5 acres of natural environment, TGE Farm Horsley Park is an early learning centre like no other. It is designed to ensure learning is always inspired by nature, with a focus on sustainability.
Our natural, warm environment features trees, grasslands and plants, edible gardens, dirt tracks, sandpits, areas that invite play, quiet spaces where the children can sit and reflect, bridges, slides, cubby houses, music elements and water elements for the warmer days.
Our children will help in growing and harvesting herbs, fruit and vegetables from our garden which will make there way to the kitchen, getting involved with cooking meals and eating the fresh, healthy produce we grow.
Our child led curriculum is supported by nurturing, empathetic and loving educators who meet the needs of each child and most importantly provide respect, care and trust. We take an unhurried approach to children’s development, understanding that play-based learning in a homelike, secure environment is where children thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The nursery is an extension of home where the educators cater the routines to the individual needs of each child. The focus is on creating a happy and safe environment for peer and educator relationships to thrive while the children develop their fine and gross motor skills.
The curriculum in the nursery room is centred around hands-on sensory experiences. The children are encouraged to explore their interests and discover the world around them.
In the toddler room, the children are encouraged to develop their own unique interests while the educators also teach them early literacy and numeracy skills. The daily routine includes a mix of small and large group times as well as free play and teacher initiated learning activities.
The children are supported to develop their independence and self-help skills such as toilet training and packing away. Peer friendships are encouraged and the children build resilience and self-awareness that will serve them well throughout their school years and beyond.
In the preschool room, small group experiences allow the educators to tailor the curriculum to different needs, age groups and interests. With a combination of play-based learning, hands-on experiences and educator-led activities, the children become independent and capable learners.
The children are empowered to ask questions and explore their world. They are supported to develop self help skills and share their unique interests and experiences with their peers.

She loves it and so do we. Knowing our child is in such good hands, makes it so much easier to continue working. She enjoys the activities and socializing with her friends and especially loves the variety of healthy food that is prepared. We're very grateful for the staff and love watching our daughter thrive in such a positive learning environment. Read more

As an Early Childhood Teacher for over 15 years, I could go on forever about how I adore this centre. My career has seen me move into a different role WFH since coming back from mat leave and I searched far and wide for a quality ECEC and The Green Elephant. Although, in the profession for many years I have never heard or worked for TGE so my review is completely objective and unbiased. I complete a 1hr round trip in the morning g and afternoon to drop my child off at the TGE because it is worth it! As an ECT I am typically subject to all my friends and family who are enrolling their first child in care asking me what do I ask the teachers? How do I know it is a good centre? Safe? Etc. I always respond that every centre has the right answers. You need to get a feel of the managements attitude to their team, the educators engagement, mood and interactions with the children. And when I met the TGE from management, to educators and trainees they were all warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Most often I hear from family and friends; I enrolled at X centre. They promised the world in terms of communication, safety, hygiene and education. Within a month they fell completely short of the expectations they so eagerly raved about. Not TGE - this team doesn't promise the world and fall short like so many. They just deliver. Deliver joy, love, connection, communication, education and fun. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! I would and will travel 1hr every morning and afternoon to bring my child to TGE until he starts big school, then walk him to the centre directly across the road from my house. Because they are that good! And my son deserves the best start to his life long learning journey. Read more
