Emberwood Estate FDC philosophy guides our interactions with children, families, and others.
We recognise that: children learn and grow through play children learn through their interactions, relationships and experiences with others and the environment. children have a right to feel safe, secure, supported and to be acknowledged for their individuality and agency. children have a right of choice, freedom of belief and are capable and confident learners. it is essential to support and nurture the whole child focusing on their identity, connection with community, wellbeing, confidence as learners and effectiveness as communicators. a risk-based approach will effectively manage the health, safety, and the wellbeing of children in our care.
Emberwood Estate Family Day Care is a registered service through Windermere Family Day Care Scheme, and we are management are guided by professional standards such as the National Quality Standards and the Code of Ethics 2019 in all of our practices, interactions, and relationships.
Through respecting the diversity, skills, and strengths that each person brings to the service we are able to challenge and learn from each other, work in collaboration, as well as reflect on our practices to ensure we are always striving for continual quality improvement and the highest possible outcomes for children and families.
