Little Blue Family DayCare is a Home based daycare that caters for four kids day, creating a nurturing calm environment where kids can feel like at home.
As there is only four vacancies, we can focus on personalised care and emotional wellbeing as children grow and develop their sense of self.
I am Xenia, a Diploma Qualified Educator from Spain and mum of two beautiful boys. I have been an Educator for 11 years, running my own day care for 6 years now.
My big focus is on emotinal intelligence and wellbeing, individualised care and creating nurturing and nourishing environments.
I follow the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies as inspiration for creating activities and fun games that foster the children's interest and learning at the same time.
As part of our emtional regulation program we often do yoga and play sound healing to create a calm atmosphere with the kids.
Offering this service to the community is opening the doors of our home and I look forward to meeting the kids and families that are looking for a more personalised care in the area of Scarborough. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
