Deshaye Family Day Care

Hi my name is Charmain and I currently run a family day care from my home I have been a child care educator for approximately 6 years, with over twenty years raising my own children working with children is something I have wanted to do since I was a child and so thoroughly enjoy fulfilling my dream each day by providing the care and support to help children develop their skills and personalities. I have a certificate 111 in children's Services and have completed ongoing training, I also have a first aid certificate and National Police Clearance. Although long Day care Centres can be perfect for some children I feel that Family day care provides a more personal approach to Child Care, In a relaxed home environment children can be given the time they need to settle in and accomplish tasks, This can be highly beneficial to those that have not experienced time away from home and those that find it a little difficult around large groups of other children as they would experience in busier centre based Child Care.
What early Childhood Learning means to me: For me early childhood means being able to provide children in my care the love and attention they need, making the time away from their parents as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I want to provide stimulating learning experiences that will help them grow as individuals, build their confidence and nurture the important social skills that will be used throughout their life. I will draw on all my knowledge of children and their development to provide the best care I can.
