Star Academy Kids - Campsie
Star Academy Kids - Campsie Centre overview
“We believe in providing a warm, friendly and safe environment where children will have a strong sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming”
At Star Academy Kids we believe in providing a warm, friendly and safe environment where children will have a strong sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming (DEEWR,2009) supported by skilled, knowledgeable and passionate educators who value family and the community.
Our service provides a play based curriculum which in line with the Early Years Learning Framework challenges educators to think deeply about young children’s learning. We promote programs that reflect children’s needs, interests, and strengths so that they are actively involved in their learning.
We strongly believe that children at our service are unique and bright individuals who are entitled to guide themselves in the direction of their own learning and development by allowing them to explore, create, investigate and express their ideas whilst in the company of their peers and educators.
Families are the most important influence in a child’s life which is why we value family involvement and participation, as this allows the educators to extend on the child’s interests and abilities, so educators can achieve the best possible outcome for their child.
Star Academy Kids values and respects the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders cultures, as well as respect diversity, honour histories, cultures, language, traditions and lifestyle choices of each family. We will encourage children to value and respect each other’s differences while promoting the development of a positive self-esteem, “Children respond to diversity with respect” (DEEWR, 2009).
Our educators strive to provide an ongoing education relating to the best practices for children, this is accomplished when we get to know each child by developing trust, thus, enabling the child to feel safe, secure and supported.
Educators ensure that their professional development is ongoing and up to date by implementing a range of theorists on early childhood into the curriculum and by working collaboratively to maintain our vision and passion for excellence in early childhood education.
At Star Academy Kids we will encourage children to be respectful and sensitive to the natural environment by educating children about sustainable practices and the care of our environment and how natural systems function.

We had a terrible experience when we applied for my child to enrol at this child care centre at Campsie. They asked to pay $140 ($40 administration fee and $100 bond) and said will refund when my child enrol. However they did not approve the application as ours booking, so i asked them to refund my money. but they never refund and even i called them more than twenty phone calls. they haven’t refund me. They never answer my email and not answer my phone call to explain why not refund to me. Highly recommended to STAY AWAY this child care centre. If you don’t to waste your time, money and headache. My daughter had been to this place for more than 2 years and she was treated very roughly. My daughter was scared of the carer named Nicola. She would cry the moment she saw her.I thought may be because of separation anxiety but I could feel the difference in my daughter after starting a new day care. The carers are busy with their personal stuff on phone specially at Campsie centre. Their account management is horrible and they do it intentionally and would over charge you thinking it would go unnoticed. I gave them 4 weeks notice as was told by Jenny (the manager) but then she never picked the phone and never returned the calls for refund. My husband had to call the director to ask for the complaint number and it was then they refunded the bond after 4 weeks. Be watchful as I noticed some things which are really unacceptable for 3 year olds. I kept ignoring! One postive thing only that they helped with weaning of bottles. STAY AWAY from this child care. DO NOT TRUST their sweet talk as you will be soon dissapointed like me.They know the tricks to impress the parents. Jenny would request for a postive review as well!😄 Read more

With great friendly Caring and welcoming staff who goes above and beyond their abilities to help and support my child's well-being and development milestones. The moment I went for orientation Jenni has always been very understanding and helpful regarding our family needs. I can see my child is happy and always requesting to go even on the weekend.
