About the curriculum
About the curriculum
6 weeks – 12 months
Named after acclaimed natural scientist, Charles Darwin, who spent most of his life exploring the diversity of living things with particular interest in adaptation. Similarly, children of this age are curious and readily adjust as they transition to a new environment.
Parents can feel confident knowing that their Educators are there to guide them as they become increasingly curious about their world, introducing experiences and supporting them to explore new surroundings and establish new relationships with carers and friends.
1 year – 2 years
Famous for creating piano concertos and symphonies, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spent most of his life mastering music that depicted charm and expressed humour, joy and sorrow. The exploration of such emotions is commonplace for children at this age as they begin to exercise their independence and socialise with like-minded friends.
This environment is full of sounds and textures, designed to complement children’s learning. Age-appropriate experiences and resources are provided to support children as they explore and meet developmental milestones.
2 years - 3 years
Thomas Edison rose from humble beginnings to develop technology and make his inventions widely available and useful. Invention is commonplace for children of this age as they become inquisitive and exploratory in their place.
Providing an abundant selection of resources within varied environments allows the imaginative creators to push boundaries and showcase their learning every minute of the day. Interacting with their peers teaches them social skills such as turn taking and making a friend.
3 years – 4 years
Remembered for his contributions to the art world, Pablo Picasso was a dynamic painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist who experimented with many art styles and themes in his long-lasting career.
Children in this room are encouraged to experience and push boundaries, using their intelligence and creativity. They are supported by their Educators to discover their incredible capacity to persist when challenged.
4 years – 5 years
Famous for his theory of relativity, Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist whose intellectual achievements crowned him as the greatest genius who ever lived. Children of this age have rapid cognitive development and play becomes more complex. The children in this room want to try new experiences, seek to become self-reliant and want to become independent decision makers.
Educators support this energy and independence by providing experiences to challenge thinking and this includes participation within the School Preparation Program.

I believe a child’s first few years of learning are critical to their development, and that each day provides us with opportunity to support their continued learning and development.
Every child deserves the best start and my goal is to create a safe, caring, fun and inspirational environment for each child to grow, learn and explore. I value our relationships with our families and enjoy learning about the individual cultures that make up our community.

We couldn’t be happier with Paisley Park Early Learning Centre in Newtown! From the very beginning, Adriana, the Centre Director, has been absolutely amazing. She has been so supportive, promptly addressing any concerns we’ve had and ensuring my son is always receiving the best care. Her guidance from day one gave us confidence that we were making the right choice for our son’s early learning journey. In the Earhart room, Joel, Ruwaida, and Shaheen were outstanding in helping my son settle in and feel at home. Their warmth, attentiveness, and dedication made such a positive impact on him. Now that he has transitioned to the Edison room, Navneet and Rebecca have been equally incredible, providing a nurturing and engaging environment for him to thrive in. I also love the detailed updates they share about his day – it’s so reassuring and thoughtful. The staff here are exceptional, and the centre provides such a welcoming and stimulating environment. I can’t thank Adriana and the entire team enough for their care and dedication. Highly recommend Paisley Park Newtown to any parent looking for an outstanding early learning experience! Read more

I had the worst experience with my little one in this daycare. I was stuck for 3 months with them because of their minimum 3 month policy which they didn’t mention while enrolling. The withdrawl policy on parent guide (2 weeks) and on enrolment form was different. After reading 48-50 pages of parent guide I decided not to read the same points mentioned on enrolment form thinking that it would be the same. But that’s where I made a mistake and ended up in continuing there for 3 months. I was off in orientation itself. And my little one got very sick after that. She was hospitalized because of which I was advised by Dr to not to send her for care. I requested them to push my little ones start date by 1 week as Dr has advised her to keep at home , to which Joanna Silva one of their management staff refused and charged me as private for the whole week. I had to call Centrelink and get it all sorted. Centrelink clearly mentioned that sickness can be one of the reasons not to attend the day care and they also advised me that I should file a complain to Department of Education against the daycare. I still decided not take any actions as my little one was going there and I disnt want this to affect on my baby. I also had to send her for 3 months because I would lose on my $600 bond. I didn’t find the educators very friendly or cooperative with my little 9 month old. I wasn’t getting proper updates with my 9 month old breastfeeding baby. They didn’t offer food properly and no alternatives as well until I constantly pushed them for it. My littlle one reached the border of under weight category because of this. Inspite of me mentioning this to educators and telling them that maternal nurse has advised to monitor her food intake I had no support in it. Going back to work after maternity leave and dealing with such Business focused daycare who don’t care about parents was a nightmare for me. I wish no parents have to go through this kind of experience specially with their babies. Read more
