Nestled in the heart of Queanbeyan, our purpose-built Early Education Service offers a haven for children to grow and develop into confident and capable individuals. Our focus on community and belonging fosters strong connections with our families, ensuring that every child feels safe, stimulated and supported on their journey.

At Benedict House, we take great pride in offering a strong sense of community and a sense of belonging. Building solid, mutually beneficial connections with our families and children is something we value in the highest regard, so our children can concentrate on growing and developing feeling respected, comfortable, and supported.

With 7 thoughtfully designed Studios, we provide holistic support to each child, recognising their unique strengths and interests. Our child-centred curriculum encourages exploration, discovery, and growth, laying a solid foundation for their future.

Our outdoor play spaces – including a soccer field, bike track, chicken coop, herb gardens, and an in-ground boat – inspire curiosity and adventure.

At Bluebird Benedict House, our Chef prepares freshly made meals catering for all dietary requirements and needs, in line with Nutrition Australia guidelines. We take all opportunities to educate children on healthy eating practices, from encouraging children to assist in selecting edible plants from our vegetable garden right through to cooking classes throughout the week.

We invite the wonderful families in our community to schedule a tour and discover the Bluebird difference, seamlessly blending modern facilities with the rich heritage of our town.

At Bluebird, we understand the significance of rituals in shaping a child's sense of security, identity, and belonging. Our carefully curated rituals are more than just activities – they're opportunities for connection, shared experiences, and meaningful relationships between educators and children.

Kinder Leadership ProgramIn our Kinder Leadership Program, children learn and practice essential values like respect, care, and inclusivity. Through interactions with younger peers in our studios, Kinder children become role models, fostering a culture of respect and kindness. This program not only strengthens relationships but also reduces negative behaviors like bullying, creating a positive and caring environment.

Restful RetreatDuring sleep and relaxation times, children are provided with a cozy space complete with sheets and blankets. Whether indoors or outdoors, our educators ensure a tranquil environment where children can unwind and recharge. For those who don't sleep, quiet activities like weaving and yoga promote relaxation and mindfulness.

Continuous LearningOur curriculum emphasizes uninterrupted learning periods, allowing children to deeply engage in play-based activities. Through exploration and inquiry, children develop essential skills and knowledge in an environment designed to foster curiosity and discovery.

Nourishing ConnectionsMeal times are not just about food – they're opportunities for social interaction and independence. With progressive meal schedules, children can enjoy nourishing meals without disrupting learning. Our educators encourage self-help skills, empowering children to participate in the entire dining experience, from setting the table to cleaning up.

Circle of TrustYarning circles provide a space for open and respectful communication. Sitting or standing in a circle, educators and children engage in meaningful conversations, fostering trust and accountability. This ritual promotes honest interactions and ensures that every voice is heard and valued.

Moments of MindfulnessTea time is a cherished ritual where children gather in small groups to share herbal tea and meaningful conversation. Focused on gratitude and kindness, this tranquil moment encourages mindfulness and reflection, offering a pause in the busy week to appreciate the present.

At Bluebird, our rituals go beyond routine – they're meaningful experiences that nurture connection, foster growth, and create lifelong memories.
