It has taken many months to process the negative impacts this centre has had on our family. The management and owner are not... It has taken many months to process the negative impacts this centre has had on our family. The management and owner are not family-orientated and do not care about working with their clients - the families. Multiple concerns raised while my kids were in care (for 13months) - all concerns resulted in us being reprimanded for questioning the lack of quality care in the centre - never any assistance to fix the problem. Examples including but not limited to: - Hat policy not followed in 35+ degree heat leading to sunburn. Excuses of "didn't know where it was". Although was in childs bag. Multiple occurances. On the 3rd occasion I asked the educator closest what the hat policy was. As a parent, I believe all staff should have a basic understanding of policies. After this conversation, I was accused of harrasing staff by the manager. - Milk given to my child 6 hours after being poured, left at room temperature in summer. No educator in the room was aware of this and took no notice. At pick up, I questioned why they were carrying around a cup, to open it up to spoiled milk. An educator tried to tell me it wasn't their cup and started talking telling child (1yo) "That's not yours". Spoke to the manager upon leaving the centre and was met with an aggressive, sturn response. No sorry for potential food poisoning, no plan for this to not occur again. I understand everyone is human and sometimes things happen - the way this was handled was very poor. - Baby room being split into 2 sections using furniture and putting children on 1 side (kids <1.5yo) when educators felt it was justified in regards to behaviour. Singling out children and seperating them from peers for an extended period of time was seen. - 7 rooms existed when we started at this centre. My 2yo was in room 6 with 4-5yos. The age groups were not split appropriately. - Combining room 5/6/7 into one large room. Up to 40 kids in one room a day. Multiple behaviour kids in this room with no behaviour support for them. Educators attention went to these kids (as it had to). Not fair for the rest of the kids. - 5 different room leaders for the preschool room. In 12months. No consistency. - Preschool room portfolio for 2024 consisted of 2 paintings. - Final lead educator of the preschool room in 2024 had the kids rank themselves daily, in order of their behaviour on a rainbow wall, whoever was at the top "gets a present" from the lead educator. Bribing kids is absolutely attrocious and this centre should be ashamed. - Lead educator not knowing where a childs ventolin puffer is. - An educator holding child tightly around the wrist and pulling them. Inappropriate behaviour. - Child showing fear and anxiety to go to daycare and opting to stay home as they did not feel safe anymore (after attending for 12 months). - Families being alerted that ratings were going to occur on specfic days and to only provide positive feedback to the assessor. This is unprofessional. In 2024, my child was injured by a toy. This centre claims no liability nor has the insurance company. They claim "A toy inspection was completed". The educator who supposedly did this inspection left 1 month after this incident (coincidence maybe?) The injury, at initial assessment was deemed a partial amputation. Within 24hours I was holding my child while they were being put under for surgery!! The owner & management harrassed us at drop off & pick up regularly to sign an NDA disguised as a "Deed" when we refused to. This place is run by rude, careless unprofessional people. The educators were seen bullying each other also, which is disgusting behaviour when they are meant to be role models for the children in their care. I could not recommend this centre to any family who is looking for a nuturing, safe, happy, positive environment as with my experiences THIS IS NOT IT. Read more
