Our son attended Fae's Family Day Care for close to two years until he started preschool, and it has been the best preparation for him. Initially reserved and attached to his parents, Fae has helped him to develop social skills and improve his interaction with other kids and build trust with those outside the family while engaging in hours of games and creative play. We are so fortunate to have Fae to be able ease our son into his current preschool where he has been able to pick up where he left off. She gave him the confidence and sociability he needed to thrive in a bigger learning environment. Fae is very communicative, shares lots of photos and always let us know the details of their day. Our daughter attended Fae's family daycare for only 4 months because we moved away from Sydney. I can honestly say that the prospect of saying goodbye to Fae and the vibrant, safe, nurturing space that she has created for the kids in her care almost made us change our minds and stay :( ! We saw a few daycares when looking for our 13 month old and knew straight away walking into Fae's that this was the place for us. Her space is very small especially compared to a large centre, but it never feels that way because everything is so thoughtfully maintained and arranged. Fae was so sensitive and inclusive to our unique needs and parenting style - I used to love getting photos at naptime of her physically holding our little one to sleep ! What really deepened my trust and respect for Fae was observing her with the children at pick up and drop off - how authentically affectionate she was, what a joyful and positive influence she is, and most importantly how she treated them all the same, noticing their differences and somehow watching all of them at the same time ! She really genuinely cares about the kids she looks after and I send her updates about our daughter even after we've moved away - I was very moved that she requested that. I saw that she maintained friendships with the parents of her kids, for long after they finished care and often siblings would then attend as well. I love the way she sets boundaries in a kind and skilful way with the kids, and saw how comfortable that made them around her. I would recommend Fae's in a heartbeat to any parent but especially parents of younger babies having their first daycare experience, or children who for whatever reason would benefit from more one on one attention. My only complaint is that she's set the bar too high and now we can't find anywhere half as good :/ Read more
