Edge Early Learning Charnwood
Edge Early Learning Charnwood Centre overview
Edge Early Learning Charnwood offers comprehensive long daycare and preschool services catering to children from 6 weeks old to school age.
Our experienced team of educators is dedicated to delivering a curriculum tailored to each child's interests and needs, fostering a holistic approach to learning through inquiry-based teaching. We guide children's development through play-based learning, helping them build a strong sense of identity, wellbeing, and confidence as learners.
Our centre in Charnwood has been thoughtfully designed around the natural elements of the suburb. The expansive outdoor play areas are purpose-built, featuring native Australian trees, vegetable gardens, sandpits, communal dining spaces, and more. Indoors, the childcare centre incorporates natural elements with timber features, green walls, and light-colored furnishings, creating a nurturing environment that showcases the children's learning experiences.
Our talented in-house chef, Mary, and pastry chef, Philippa, craft a delightful weekly menu that children thoroughly enjoy. We believe in involving children in the daily menu planning and integrating learning about nutrition, healthy bodies, and healthy minds. We accommodate all dietary requirements, ensuring that children receive the essential nutrients they need to sustain their energy throughout the day.
With extended childcare hours for convenient drop-offs and pick-ups, high-quality education programs, nutritious meals that cater to diverse dietary needs, and a supportive daycare community, Edge Early Learning Charnwood is committed to setting your child up for a successful future.
Additional features of our centre include on-site parking for hassle-free drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as security pin access for enhanced safety. We are conveniently located just 200 meters away from Brindabella Christian College.

Two stars is only because there are a few really energetic involved carers who we adore. There are also some (many) who leave children in wet nappies and who actively ignore the last child in the room to get out as early as possible. The centre really needs to be employing their staff until 6.10 or only charging me until 5.50/5.55 if they’re going to treat my son like an inconvenience after this time. Their fee system is also really shady and they don’t take complaints even remotely seriously. Read more

I have seen such an improvement in care, my son loves it there and I’m a big fan of all the carers he now has. We’re moving centres bc of geographical logistics, and I know my son will really miss it. If I’m being totally fair, I have been contacted after every complaint I’ve lodged, and noticed communication increase from it, and care improve. Obviously none of us want our children to suffer but I do realise these carers are human and no one intentionally inflicted harm upon my son. And it sounds like nappy mishaps are a common occurrence in most centres. —————— I have had to contact this centre 3 times regarding my son coming home in dirty nappies. I think we’re now on 8 occasions. My son was left in his nappy so long today it had visibly wet the front and back of his pants. The day before my mum picked him up with a dirty nappy. He hasn’t had nappy rash in months, and today it came back so badly he was in such agony that he was shaking and screaming as I changed him. He was bawling his eyes out afterward so badly we had to give him nurofen. I’m sad to give this review because although I feel they’re dishonest about fees, a lot of the individual carers are really loving and just fantastic with the kids. I can’t give a place that has literally NEGLECTED my child after I entrusted them with his care, more than one star. Read more

I moved my child out of this centre pretty quickly, and I am so grateful as it was before I knew the following. Be aware that they allowed an unstable individual care for children at the centre, who has now been convicted because he is a predator and abused children at the centre. The parents whose children were in direct contact with Ali were never informed to this day or at the time. Absolute disgrace Read more
Hi Nela, we are aware of the incident which occurred prior to our purchase of the centre in July 2022. The alleged team member was stood down several months before we started operations, and we have replaced the Centre Director who was in charge during this period. We are committed to child safety and respecting the rights of each individual child. Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
