Creative Kids Preschool is a boutique centre in Belmont South. It has places for up to 18 children per day, with 2 staff, giving the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with each child to foster their learning and development. There are 4 highly trained, long-term staff, who have a close relationship with the community and local schools, making school readiness and transitions easy. The preschool has a daily routine which includes plenty of free play as well as structured learning times such as music, language and craft.
The centre was formerly named Jowen Preschool and has been in operation for over 30 years. The centre continues to evolve, with the interests of the children and families, and the needs of the community. The centre is open 10 hours per day, 48 weeks of the year, with a daily fee of $80. As the preschool is a long day care centre, fees are reduced with the Child Care Subsidy Scheme.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
