The educators at Eden Academy work in a supportive and caring environment. With a higher educator to child ratio than required under the national quality framework, the educators have more time to dedicate to individualised attention. 

In addition to annual First Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR and Asthma training, the educators are also encouraged to participate in ongoing professional development. This ensures they are across the latest thinking and research in the sector. The educators work collaboratively as a team, sharing their knowledge and skills with each other.

Through play-based learning and fun activities, the educators at Eden Academy teach a holistic and age-appropriate curriculum. Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, the curriculum goes above and beyond to nurture each child and their unique talents, needs and interests.

The curriculum is delivered across four different learning environments:

• Nursery (0 – 15 Months): the educators foster the children’s imagination, providing them with sensory experiences and opportunities for mindfulness.
• Toddler (15 Months – 2 Years): the children develop their social and emotional skills, including sharing and independence. 
• Pre-Kindy (2 – 3 Years): the educators balance fun and play with a steady introduction to structured learning. The children develop early friendships and build on the foundations of their physical and motor skills.
• Kindergarten (3 – 5 Years): the children start to prepare for the transition to school through a more formal learning environment. Rest, play and fun are still important elements in the day, with imaginative and sensory activities that help to build critical thinking, confidence and independence.
