Welcome to Choklits Child Care & Kindergarten Surrey Hills!
Parents and families are always welcome to visit Choklits Child Care. Our 'open-door' policy encourages parents to visit our ELC to discuss their child's progress at any time. Our main objective is to 'spark the fire' for lifelong learning and help children ready to excel at school.
The benefits of a supportive relationship between home and any ELC cannot be over-emphasised, as children develop confidence and a healthy understanding of themselves and others in a social context, which respects and recognises individual differences.
Come inside and hear the laughter and song. See the children busy at work, smell the home-cooked lunch and meander the endless playground. Hear young voices cooperating and planning, discussing and sharing, while the birds chirp endlessly all day long.
Music and movement are an integral part of each room's program on a daily basis. This enormous outdoor playground invites young people to explore and investigate in a variety of spaces for socialisation, while the indoors provide ever changing worlds of interactive learning for a child's eye view of the world. The children enjoy the sandpit, water play areas, climbing equipment, vegetable garden, slides and ball games.
Choklits is located within walking distance of Surrey Park, Surrey Hills Primary School and Our Lady’s Primary School.

Programs
Programs
Morning
Hudson is eight months old and loves his days at Choklits Surrey Hills. His favourite educator puts Hudson in the pram with two other babies to go for a walk around the neighbourhood. They wave at the shopkeepers and point out all the interesting things they can see.
Lunch
Hudson is ready to settle down for a nap after having a healthy lunch. The educators prepare his bottle, read him a story, and get him all tucked in for a rest.
Afternoon
The nursery children are outside to play in the afternoon. Hudson is in the sandpit, digging, building and enjoying the sensory experience of sand play. Educators are close by to offer a hand if it’s needed.
Morning
Lily is 23 months old and arrives ready for action. The toddlers have their art easels set up today, and are having a great time painting their families. Don’t forget to add your pet dog, Lily!
Lunch
The outdoor area is popular with the toddlers, and Lily has made a run for the cubby house and slide with her friend Josh. They like to play together and take turns going down the slide.
Afternoon
Now Lily joins the children on the bike track, who are riding the bikes and scooters. Lily chooses a pink scooter and whizzes around the track with the others.
Morning
Isaac is three and a half and is excited about today’s music lesson. He grabs a triangle and the educator shows the children how to create patterns with music. Next he tries a tambourine out, and loves the sound it makes when he gives it a shake.
Lunch
Isaac is chosen by the chef to help pick some basil from the herb garden so that the chef can use it in her pesto for lunch. The children sit together and share their meal as a group. Isaac is proud that he was able to help with the pesto. The spaghetti tastes even better today, he thinks!
Afternoon
The children love their dance lessons with their educator. For Isaac, it’s a chance to shake, bop and twist around to the fun music. He gets to choose one of the songs and does some funny dance moves that make the other children giggle.

I highly recommend Chokolits Surrey Hills! Previously my daughter has been to several different childcare’s and we were disappointed at how lack of responsibility the teachers were (e.g. not adjusting my daughter’s clothes in extreme weather, not changing my daughter’s nappies properly causing rashes and not catering to my daughter’s dietary needs etc). As a result, my daughter was always not well and we were losing confidence in the child care systems. Chokolits Surrey Hill is a lovely refreshing change. Ever since my daughter has enrolled in kinder 3 room this year, the teachers Harleen, AJ, Ratna (and several others apologies I forgot your names) they have always been kind, caring and look after my daughter very well. The centre manager Zac is nice, helpful and friendly. He administered my daughter’s enrollment with great efficiency and he is always lovely to speak with. I feel this childcare treats every child with special, individual attention and ensures they are always safe and happy. In this centre, my daughter loves going to kinder and she tells me the food here is very yummy. Also this kinder is the cleanest and most organised kinder we have ever seen. Not to mention the many activities they have throughout each day - language class, yoga classes, music lessons, sports activities, cooking classes etc. We only wish that we found out about this place earlier.
