Community Kids Cessnock Early Education Centre

Our centre chef prepares and cooks healthy and nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating. 

Our centre offers children nutrient-rich, unprocessed, and seasonal whole foods – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

I began my journey in early childhood education in 2016, driven by a passion for making a meaningful impact on young lives. I joined Community Kids Cessnock in 2024, bringing with me a wealth of experience across various roles, including operations manager, nominated supervisor, centre manager, assistant manager, and educational leader. My dedication lies in fostering safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environments for all children.

Early childhood is a critical stage in life. Attending an early childhood education and care centre like ours offers children invaluable social experiences, structured learning opportunities, and school readiness preparation – all while fostering independence in a safe, supportive setting. Every day in this field is different, and I love to engage with children, help them explore their interests, and guide them towards becoming capable and confident learners. Above all, my priority is children’s wellbeing and safety, ensuring they feel valued and secure while they learn and grow.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned that every child is unique, with individual ways of learning. My teaching and leadership style reflects this belief – I create inclusive, engaging, and fun learning environments that cater to all children’s needs, while fostering a love for discovery and play. Whether it’s riding bikes, climbing the fort, or transforming a child’s interests into meaningful learning experiences, I believe in learning through play and active engagement.

I am incredibly proud of my amazing team at Community Kids Cessnock. Their dedication to ensuring our service exceeds family expectations is truly inspiring. Our programs are thoughtfully planned to align with each child’s individual needs and interests, with a strong focus on family and community collaboration. Each day, I personally greet families during drop-off. At pick-up, I ensure our team members provide direct insights into each child’s day. We also have a weekly communication board detailing staff schedules, upcoming events, responsible persons on duty, and our weekly newsletter to keep families informed. My door is always open, and I love welcoming families in for a chat and a coffee – because building connections is at the heart of what we do.

At Cessnock Community Kids, we are more than just an early education centre, we are a community where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.
