Your Home Away From Home!
We understand the importance of education in the formative years of a child’s life. Our classrooms act as a doorway to further development, where learning is encouraged anywhere, at any time.
Our educators encourage parental participation in the care of their children through decision making and involvement in a consultative and advisory manner.
Our Approach to Learning
We understand that our roles as early childhood educators play an important role in maximising the developmental opportunities of the children in our service.
We recognise that all children learn in a different way and at a different pace. Our unique tailored learning approach is designed to suit each individual, each family and community that come through our centres.
Our centres are designed to encourage play-based learning, which supports our curriculum in developing each child’s interests, strengths and abilities.
Nature Play
Our centres are purposefully designed to encourage nature play. Our outdoor facilities encourage children to explore and be immersed in the natural world around them. From looking after the chickens at each centre, through to planting seeds, our children are invited to participate daily in nature learning opportunities. These opportunities show a deep respect for the natural environment and will seek out those experiences that allow further investigation of the natural world around them.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
6 weeks - 2 years
The educators in the nursery offer the children endless opportunities to explore their world using their senses. They focus on teaching the children to understand the world and build strong relationships with the caregivers.
2 years - 3 years
This is where the children learn to develop their independence, with tasks such as serving their own meals, tying shoe laces, and using the bathroom on their own. There are plenty of fun projects and group activities to keep the children entertained.
3 years - 4 years
The educators here help to develop the social relationships between the children, encouraging them to share ideas and perspectives. The children learn about how they can look after the environment and that their behaviour has an impact. The children take part in longer term projects that ignite their sense of wonder and curiosity.
4 years - 6 years
For the older children, educators introduce concepts, theories, processes and cycles. As they prepare to head into formal education, the children are helped with building their social confidence, including the ability to make and keep friendships, adapt to new environments and be responsible for their belongings.

At Where We Grow Early Learning Narre Warren the educators understand that their roles as early childhood educators play an important role in maximising the developmental opportunities of the children in their care. They recognise that all children learn in a different way and at a different pace. Their unique tailored learning approach is designed to suit each individual, each family and community within the centre.
The centre is designed to encourage play-based learning, which supports the curriculum in developing each child’s interests, strengths and abilities. The educators focus on teaching the children to create a sustainable future, by using environmentally friendly resources and making sustainable practices part of the curriculum. The children learn about recycling and up-cycling resources, energy efficiency, water conservation, composting, gardening and caring for animals. The educators extend this by offering a nature play based outdoor space, with natural materials and of course nature play.
Health & nutrition

At Where We Grow Narre Warren, the centre chef cooks and prepares all meals daily. As part of the curriculum, the children are encouraged to plant, grow and harvest their own vegetables and herbs, which are used in centre meals. Children also participate in regular cooking lessons to encourage them to develop healthy habits around food and eating.

Morning
Olivia is ten months old and loves going on excursions in the pram with her nursery friends. Today they’re heading to the local park to see what birds they can spot in the trees.
Lunch
Olivia is playing with some soft blocks on the mat before she heads off for a nap in the sleeping area. Her educator reads her some books before preparing her for a rest.
Afternoon
Olivia loves music, and today the educators have set out lots of small musical instruments for the children to explore.
Morning
Emmett is two and a half and loves playing outside. Today the children enjoy some fun soccer activities, kicking balls to each other and trying to score a goal.
Lunch
Emmett is looking forward to today’s incursion, as they have a visitor from the library coming in for storytime with the children.
Afternoon
Emmett and his friends love their yoga classes, as these mindfulness sessions give them the skills to self-regulate.
Morning
Maddy is four and a half years old and begins her day learning some new language skills with the centre’s online program. She can already count to ten in several languages.
Lunchtime
Maddy is off to school next year and can’t wait for today’s visit from the local school. A teacher is going to talk to them about what a typical day at school is like, and what they’ll need to pack in their bag.
Afternoon
Maddy is having some fun in the sandpit. Her educator has set out some cooking equipment, so Maddy pretends to bake some cupcakes with her friends, decorating them with leaves and twigs.

I decided to write a review as I received an email from WWG asking me to share my “positive” experience on google. I wouldn’t have been prompted to do this otherwise. It annoys me that they assume the feedback is positive. We left the center due to the fee increase. As whole upper management came across as money hungry and unwilling to fix issues within the center. For instance our toddler injured himself multiple times on uneven ground in the toddler yard that they were refusing to fix. Our toddler hit his head into a concrete wall, obtained a massive egg and had to be monitored for concussion. This happened more than once. At the time we left, higher management weren’t going to do anything about the risk. There are other centers around with a more affordable daily fee. We did appreciate the director and the staff in our sons room were great. But due to the yard and the fees, we moved on Read more
