Welcome to Young Academics, Yagoona.

Yagoona is designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for children to explore, learn, and play. With a dedicated team of passionate Educators, we are committed to fostering the holistic development of each child, ensuring they thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

At Young Academics, we believe in a child-centric play-based approach to learning. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and is designed to cater to the individual needs and interests of every child. Through play-based experiences, structured activities, and hands-on learning, we encourage curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. Children up to age three participate in the tailored Evolution Program, while those between three and five join the Transition to School Program.

Offering an abundance of indoor and outdoor spaces over two levels, children can enhance their gross motor skills and enjoy the importance of playtime. Our indoor environment is thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, conducive to learning and play. It features;

The outdoor play area is an extension of the learning environment, designed to promote physical activity, exploration, and imaginative play. It features;

Healthy eating habits are cultivated from a young age. At Young Academics, we provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks prepared on-site. Our menus are carefully curated to offer a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein. We accommodate dietary restrictions and work closely with families to ensure every child’s individual needs are met.

We strive to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

All nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen is provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).

About the Curriculum

0-2 Foundations of exploration

Our Educators support young children during this rapid period of growth and change through nurturing and responsive relationships. Our educators ensure that children’s individual needs for sleeping, eating, active and quiet play are met on time, every day.

2-3 building independence

Our environments have been strategically designed to allow Toddlers to learn, develop and explore, supporting their ever increasing sense of curiosity. Independence skills and choices are a key part of the day, building to a positive approach to learning and trying.

3-4 creating connections

Our Educators support our Preschoolers to learn more about the world around them, and their impact on others Increased language skills leads to greater collaboration in play, and a greater understanding of differences.

4-5 transition to school

Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.

I wouldn't recommend Young academics Yagoona to anyone who has children. My son was treated such poorly. Twice I found his nappies soiled... Read more
