Thank you Marco and Archana for providing us the opportunity to promote the measures Sonas ELC takes to keep our treasured children safe. Principally all our procedures and physical environments are audited monthly by an external childcare consultancy. This is in addition to our own internal audits. The environment where your beautiful child received a minor injury while being supported to develop walking skills has been approved by the Education & Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) on August 2 2017 and re-inspected multiple times since. Sonas self-reported the incident relating to your beautiful child to ECRU who upon investigation found that there was no wrongdoing and no further actions required, including no requirement to remove the furniture in the room or any other alteration to the physical environment. Sonas understands the emotion and anxiety parents will feel when harm comes their Childs way and it is a natural reaction to try and remove all risks. We are parents ourselves. We do try hard to accommodate all reasonable family requests but sometimes in the interests of child development some level of risk is necessary to remain so that children learn to navigate those risks. Here is a link to a related article https://www.psy-ed.com/wpblog/risk-taking-children/ for your interest. We were sorry to lose a valued family from our community when you chose to seek alternative care. We respect your decision. We also respect the care that you have for the broader community by posting this review. As we have said before, we wish your family all the best in your collective future. Our staff miss your beautiful child.
