About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Niño Early Learning Adventures Lalor seeks to ensure that your child develops a nurturing relationship with a primary educator, which helps them to develop a sense of trust, security and safety. They work with your family to develop goals for your child, seeking to understand what your little one needs in order to grow, learn and thrive.
Inquisitive and busy toddlers are nurtured and empowered by Niño Early Learning Adventures Lalor’s qualified educators, giving the children a sense of ownership of their learning.
The toddler program encourages discovery, mastery and self-regulation to inspire a love of learning and a desire to explore and create. The educators work in collaboration with families on key milestones during this action-packed developmental stage, such as toilet training and independence at mealtimes.
As the children grow, they move into Niño Early Learning Adventures Lalor’s kindergarten program to prepare them for the next stage of their life at ‘big school.’
Led by a Bachelor Qualified Teacher and a Diploma Qualified Educator, the 3 year old program is designed to help build confidence, a sense of belonging and a love of adventure. They find out what makes your child tick, what gets them excited, and factor this into their play.
In the 4 year old kindergarten program, a Bachelor Qualified Teacher and a Diploma Qualified Educator prepare individualised experiences depending on the interests of the child. They encourage them to take part in activities that they are likely to experience in primary school.

Niño Early Learning Adventures Lalor understands that your child’s needs and interests go beyond the standard curriculum. They provide a world of experiences for children to extend their knowledge and skills. Specialist classes include Spanish language, yoga, music and cooking.
Health & nutrition
Health & nutrition
Niño ELA Lalor is passionate about your child’s nutritional education. Children are encouraged to help plant and harvest food from the vegetable garden, share meals with their friends, and reduce their food waste by composting their scraps.
Niño ELA Lalor’s Nutritional Ambassador, Dr Lauren Burn, is an Olympic gold medallist and a leading nutritionist who shares the centre’s passion for building healthy eating habits for life.
In collaboration with their in-house chefs, Lauren has developed a fresh, seasonally influenced and nutritionally balanced menu that tastes great and enhances wellbeing. All food is cooked on site daily and is adjusted for individual dietary requirements. It’s not only healthy, it’s food they’ll love to eat.
Think waffles, muffins, toast and cereal for breakfast; crumbed fish or pasta bake for lunch; vegetable dip, yoghurt, wholesome cake and seasonal fruit for snacks. By eating together at a communal table, the children learn positive habits around food that will benefit them for life.

Morning
Manny is a six month old little boy who loves his days at Niño ELA Lalor. He starts off his day on a walk in the pram around the community with some of the other nursery children and their educator.
Lunch
Manny enjoys some lunch before he heads off for some rest time. His favourite educator is going to read him a story, prepare his bottle, and settle him down for a sleep.
Afternoon
Manny and the other nursery children are enjoying some music this afternoon. The educators sing some nursery rhymes and encourage the little ones to clap along to the beat.
Morning
Chloe is almost two years old and always heads straight outside to the cubby house when she arrives. She loves to pretend she is cooking with her friends in the outdoor play kitchen. Today they’re collecting leaves to use as their ingredients.
Lunch
After lunch Chloe joins a small group of children and an educator to work on some craft together. They are making a collage, using cut up pictures from magazines. Chloe chooses all green pictures for her artwork.
Afternoon
Get your chef’s hat on Chloe, it’s time for cooking lessons! Today the children are helping the centre chef prepare some fruit for their afternoon tea. Chloe learns how to peel, chop and present the fruit on a platter to share with her friends.
Morning
Bowie is three years old and heads to the sandpit as soon as he arrives for the day. He uses trucks, buckets and spades to create a construction site. Soon his friend Oliver comes to join him.
Lunch
After lunch, Bowie and the other pre-schoolers are taking part in their Spanish language lesson. Bowie has learned a lot of Spanish songs and can now count to five in Spanish.
Afternoon
To finish off the afternoon, Bowie and a small group of students take their shoes off and get the yoga mats out. These small sessions, run by their educator, are a great way to learn about relaxation techniques and to improve their flexibility.
Meet the team
Meet the team
What attracted me to Niño Early Learning Adventures was the passion and dedication the company had to not only be great at nurturing young children but to go the extra mile and include positive psychology into everyday life through their Positive Education framework.
At Niño ELA Lalor we are a strong community built from a solid team of enthusiastic Educators; chefs that create mouthwatering nutritious meals; and our families that come from many different cultural backgrounds. We all come together as one to guide our little niños to be the best versions of themselves.
As the Centre Manager, it is of high importance to me that we can create an inclusive, positive and kind community within our service, and I aim to achieve this together with all of our staff, families and children.
Jacinta Mion, Centre Manager
Having been in the industry for over 10 years I can confidently say being part of the team at Niño ELA has been inspiring. Their vision for supporting young children to become the best versions of themselves and encouraging each child to flourish aligns with my values as a teacher and as an educator. It fills my heart with pride seeing the children in my care grow and become confident learners.
