Educators plan experiences for children based on many factors; children’s interests, theoretical knowledge of child development, experience gained from working with young children, the Centre’s philosophy and goals, as well as observations made of the children in the Centre setting.

We follow a learning through play approach with the educator in the role of engaging, supporting and fostering children’s knowledge, learning via a literacy rich environment which is aesthetically pleasing to the individual child, encouraging imagination, hypothesis and social interaction.

In addition, knowledge of children's home backgrounds, including parental expectations, family structures and individual cultures are taken into account. We provide a busy, active program where key areas of learning and development are incorporated. These include creative arts, music and movement, language skills, problem solving with maths and science, literacy, dramatic play, health and safety. We encourage a family atmosphere and welcome parental input. Parents are encouraged to join in on our daily routine or to contribute ideas to the Centre.

We feel it is imperative that children have an outlet for their energy. Our Centre has specially designed outdoor areas such as sand pits, grassed areas and open spaces offering children the freedom to explore, use their senses and be physically active in a secure and safe, yet challenging environment. We offer Yoga to encourage well being and good lifestyle choices.

Our food is prepared on the premises by our chef who is specially trained in child nutrition, ensuring meals are well balanced with all the essential vitamins and nutrients children need for an active, fun-filled day.
