Meet the team
Meet the team
Nido Early School is committed to quality care and learning delivered by an outstanding team of degree-qualified teachers and skilled educators. The team inspires and challenges each other, working together to collectively offer the very best in childcare.
The service hires only passionate and committed team members. It provides a comprehensive induction and onboarding program. All staff also have enhanced learning and development opportunities through the ECA Learning Hub, an online professional learning platform designed specifically for early childhood education and care professionals.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
Nido Early School understands that no one knows a child like their family. The service actively engages with parents and family members to ensure children have the very best care.
The team works with family members at enrolment and also regularly seeks updates on children’s schedules and current interests. This helps them to develop tailored programs that meet individual educational, physical, cultural and emotional needs.
Parents are welcome to chat with staff at drop off and pick up, and to contact the team at any stage via phone, email or the service’s ‘Playground’ App. The service regularly sends updates on children’s progress, and photos and videos of children during play and learning activities.
With an ‘open door policy’, parents are welcome to join in activities and events, and to share breakfast with children at the popular breaky bar.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The curriculum at Nido Early School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Designed to support the children in the early years and as they prepare for the transition to school, the curriculum is play-based and engaging.
The curriculum is delivered in three stages:
Nursery (6 weeks to 18 months)
In the nursery, the children are nurtured as they develop early connections with their educators. They read stories, play and explore the world around them.
The children start to develop their sense of identity and understand that they are part of a broader community. They start to explore their feelings and emotions and also try new things. Developing early communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal is also a big focus for the children in this age group.
Toddlers (18 months to 3 years)
The educators encourage the toddlers to develop their independence and autonomy. They have opportunities to build their social skills and early friendships while also learning to regulate their emotions.
As the children take safe risks in their learning, the educators also encourage their problem solving skills. Self-expression and communication are also important.
Kindergarten (3 years to school)
The Kindergarten curriculum helps to prepare the children for the big transition to big school. The children have a strong sense of self and understand their role in the community. They participate in peer activities and understand their own emotions.
They are always questioning how things work and practising their verbal and listening skills as strong communicators.

Management - the manager Melanie who runs the daycare on a daily basis is constantly rude and has zero people skills at all she couldn’t even organise a game of checkers let alone a daycare. 2. No matter what the weather is the kids were always outside especially during the winter season and my son was always coming home sick because of it and the educators had lost his asthma action plan which we had given to them personally only to find out they had lost it and my son had been out in the cold and rain wheezing on multiple occasions. 3. Hygiene - some educators will just sit on their iPads and watch majority of kids while they are dripping with bright green snot sneezing and coughing everywhere not a care in the world. One afternoon I went to pick my son up and he was scrambling to look for an educator because he needed to go to the toilet in the end I took him at the class room because the educator was just sitting on her iPad another time I was looking for my sons hat and the same educator gave me an answer of meh I don’t know, a few weeks had passed and I pushed it further asking where his hat was her response was oh yeah the other kids threw it over the fence I was beyond livid and replied why the hell didn’t you tell me weeks ago when I asked. I ended up carrying my son out and walking between the building and someone’s house looking for my son’s hat. Never again I would send my kids to this place and I highly recommend no one else does. The staff are completely incompetent and have no idea how or what they are doing and feel they are in the wrong job. The manager Melanie couldn’t organise a game of snakes and ladders let alone the daycare on a day to day basis and my son only adored one educator out of a handful of them and even she left. If I could I’d give Nido a negative review and highly recommend no one send their children there. Read more

Management are so rude.she Always had a frown on her face as you walk into the centre. Zero cares about helping your concerns at all. If you don’t like your job love. Leave. Secondly one particular educator ( apparently years of experience ) is hardly with it half the time. This centre went through 3 managements in 18 months our child was there. I was always calling to check what he had eaten. Naps etc his story wasn’t updated in months! Again no one chased that up. Read more

I wish if I could give stars in negative. I ended up contacting head office as well as area manager and had to terminate service with immediate effect. Decision is about your kids, please take a time to read the review. 1. Management - People are managing this childcare day to day are in the wrong job. Very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. Manager will talk to parents like they doing a favor to parents by providing service. People in management best at avoiding to answer questions or parents' concerns as well. 2. CLOSE DOORS - No matter what the weather is kids will stay OUTSIDE. From the moment you drop them in to when you go and pick them up again you will find your kids outside. If you ask them then they will say they have Emilio Regio policy and doors are always unlocked (unlocked but not open). Doors are extremely hard for kids age of 3 or 4 years to open that door by themselves. If you tell them you want your kids to play inside, can he play inside? Then answer will be typical, we are understaffed and don't have any one to look after at this stage. They will keep kids outside in windy or cold weather as well and when kids get sick they will apply their policy of not to bring kids back for 48hrs. 3. Hygiene - some educators will just watch your kid having food with hands full of sand. I doubt if anyone educator or management staff would prefer to eat that way. More than often found kids' nappies are full of sands as well. Even tho in later afternoon they change kid's nappy before they go home. 4. Fake Reviews - Don't go by those 5 star reviews most of them are by staff itself. 5. Aggressive- People in management won't think twice before having a go at you or to be rude with you in front of staff/parents. There are better childcare out there, this is definitely NOT THE ONE.
