What the parents say
What the parents say
We absolutely hit the jackpot with Galileo. Our 2 year old daughter attends. This was her first experience with out of home care and it has been exceptional. The space has been planned and fitted with such thought, it is instantly appealing and engaging. The equipment and toys in the centre provide children with opportunities for rich learning and play experiences.
The staff feel like family and have a huge place in our hearts. They go above and beyond with each child. You can really tell that relationships are a priority. They meet every child at their level of need and differentiate their daily practice to ensure all children get what they need.
This is further enabled by the small enrolment size at the centre. I love that my daughter can name every person in the centre. I always know my daughter is safe because of their firm and loving approach.
Communication is clear and supported by the use of an app that has everything you need in one spot.
It has been incredible to watch my child’s growth in only one term. Her language, confidence and the array of leaning experiences she has been exposed to have been noted by my whole family. We can’t wait to continue our journey with Galileo.

This isn’t just a centre, it oozes a homely feel. Just what I want for my son, bigger than family daycare but not too big for him to not feel special and loved.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
At Galileo Early Learning Red Hill, the curriculum stems from the particular interests of children. Curriculum topics are derived by educators talking with children and their families, as well as from things that are known to be interesting to children and their developmental requirements.
The centre’s environments are set up with quality resources that inspire children to experiment and learn through their play. These open ended experiences offer higher order thinking for children to return to and continue.
Educators observe how the children are learning, and they document their progress. Educator’s encourage children’s independence and their ability to learn new skills and information.
Educators allow children to explore through their natural, physical and social environment supporting children to take risks and be confident in trying new challenges.

Galileo is the most gorgeous boutique, play-based early childhood centre in Canberra. We are grateful to have sent both our children for over 2.5 years without hesitation and have watched them flourish under the exemplary care of Sarah and her extended team. Both our children have excelled in language and social development as a result of the play-based engagements the team offers. We refer to the carers as our extended village and will miss them greatly ❤️ We toured many centres before stumbling upon this gem of a centre. The intimate, child-led environment offers so many beautiful learning engagements for children to explore. Beautiful sensory tables, musical instruments and wooden toys are always set up for children to engage with. The indoor and outdoor play spaces have been completely refreshed to ensure all children's physical needs are met. As a teacher myself, I had very high expectations for a centre and Galileo has not once disappointed. The staff is so attentive and knows every detail about both of our children. Would absolutely recommend this centre to anyone wanting a small, caring learning environment for their young ones. Read more
