Before kindergarten, my mother brought me here when it was painted with a Peter Pan theme. I still remember being abruptly told, "You're not listening!" due to my auditory reasoning diagnosis. I went on to enjoy kindergarten at Mt Gravatt Community Kindergarten nearby.
In 2015-2016, I studied for a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood and Education at TAFE. When the centre had changed to Montessori, I was on an unpaid work placement. Despite no issues at a previous centre, I began interacting with a child using educational shape toys. Due to a health problem at the time, I became tired, and a staff member, showing no empathy, told me to leave.
I discontinued my placement and studies, and worked in other fields for years until I decided to return to the industry after having my own child. I am now doing well.
