Young Academics Early Learning Centre - Kingsford Centre overview
Our Kingsford Eastern Sydney Young Academics daycare centre is purpose-built to create vibrant, stimulating learning environment designed to nurture each child’s cognitive development, confidence and social skills during the critical early learning years. As a forward-thinking organisation we are constantly researching and reflecting to discover the latest advances in early childhood education.
Positioned in a quiet residential street, the centre reflects the family-orientated nature of the region, with indoor and outdoor spaces that are designed to foster children’s love of learning. Our environment encourages exploration and discovery, complemented by the natural surroundings.
Through our custom-designed programs – like our Evolution Program and the Transition to School Program – our passionate, experienced educators, deliver a holistic education balancing organised experiences with play-based learning at stations dedicated to key skills including numeracy, literacy, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), music, drama and art.
Our indoor learning environment is packed with age-appropriate resources promoting imaginative play, experimentation and collaboration. Our outdoor learning environment helps children develop their curiosity, gross motor skills and understanding of sustainability using resources such as building areas, sandpits, bike tracks, herb gardens and worm farms.
Kingsford Young Academics Eastern Sydney Early Learning Centre works closely with families and the local community to meet children’s needs, where many families continue to visit our educators many years after their children have moved on to school.
Children enjoy five nutritious meals and snacks every day, prepared by our in-house cooks, and all nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).

About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
0-2 Foundations of exploration
Our Educators support young children during this rapid period of growth and change through nurturing and responsive relationships. Our educators ensure that children’s individual needs for sleeping, eating, active and quiet play are met on time, every day.
2-3 building independence
Our environments have been strategically designed to allow Toddlers to learn, develop and explore, supporting their ever increasing sense of curiosity. Independence skills and choices are a key part of the day, building to a positive approach to learning and trying.
3-4 creating connections
Our Educators support our Preschoolers to learn more about the world around them, and their impact on others Increased language skills leads to greater collaboration in play, and a greater understanding of differences.
4-5 transition to school
Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.
Health and Nutrition
Health and Nutrition
At Young Academics, we believe the first five years of a child’s life are critical for establishing healthy eating habits, exploring new foods, and meeting essential nutritional needs to support growth and development. Good nutrition not only enhances physical health but also boosts a child’s well-being, self-confidence, and focus.
That’s why we’ve developed our unique Nutrition Program in collaboration with a qualified nutritionist. This program is designed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. We encourage children to actively participate in meal preparation and serving, fostering a hands-on approach to learning about nutrition.
Our carefully crafted seasonal menu, which rotates every four weeks, is designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a variety of nourishing foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more, ensuring children receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.
Kindergarten/Preschool Programs
Kindergarten/Preschool Programs
At Young Academics, our Transition to School Program is a comprehensive, carefully designed pathway that prepares children for the exciting journey into formal education. We understand that this is a major milestone, and our program focuses on equipping children with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for a smooth transition.
Our dedicated educators work closely with each child, providing tailored support to ensure they feel confident and emotionally ready for the next step in their learning journey. We focus on building essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, while also fostering independence, resilience, and a love for learning.
Through a combination of structured learning, interactive play, and hands-on experiences, we help children develop both academically and socially, so they feel prepared not just for the classroom, but for the social dynamics of school life as well.
At Young Academics, we take pride in setting children up for a seamless and positive transition into school, laying the foundation for both academic success and personal growth that will last a lifetime.

The staff at this childcare centre are absolutely amazing - kind, professional, and always attentive to the children. The environment is perfectly designed for learning, with engaging activities that keep the kids curious and excited. I feel completely at ease knowing my daughter is in such a nurturing and stimulating space. Over the time my daughter has attended, I've noticed very minimal staff turn over, which speaks volumes about the dedication and consistency. Read more

Traumatic.. the one word I would use to describe my child’s enrolment there, for both him and myself. This experience has made me doubt every childcare I ever walk into. If you want your child to be hit by an ‘educator’, baby sat by an iPad and discriminated against- this is the place for you. The centre & head office did not make appropriate accommodations to include my child who is autistic. He received funding for an inclusion person for his room which was not utilised, however blamed him for the ‘educators’ feeling traumatised and worn down. When really this stems from the lack of management and disregard for staff wellbeing. His enrolment had been cancelled after multiple complaints and concerns over his and other children’s safety, particularly about a gate that they changed that he could get out of. Instead of fixing the gates they chose to terminate his enrolment. If he can get out then what is stopping the other children. This place is a disgrace and is highlighted by the way ‘educators and management’ speak to the parents and question them about their personal lives. For the sake of your child, don’t send them here. You don’t know what else is happening behind closed doors after you leave & you don’t know what they aren’t telling you to protect themselves from the lack of care they are showing to your child. Child care is hard to find and expensive but definitely not wor to sending your child to a place with free spots especially since there is normally a reason people are also avoiding/leaving that place. Children deserve the same respect as adults do and you won’t find respect is a value of this centre. Read more

Unprofessional, not inclusive and disrespectful. The carers did not accommodate for young autistic boy and cancelled the child's enrolment giving the parents less than 3 hours notice on a Friday afternoon without any explanation. Good morning Evangelie, it is disappointing to read your feedback and in turn review of our service. Your grandson was enrolled with us for almost 2 years and strongly believe we provided quality care & education within our environment and the community resources we had at hand. Nevertheless, we wish your family all the best for the next chapter of Primary Education. Take care, Young Academics Management.
