Goodstart Early Learning Forest Hill - Fraser Place

Play is the order of the day of Goodstart Early Learning and the programs at the centre are grounded in a play-based approach. The educators embed teaching and learning into play experiences, helping the children to make sense of the world around them. This is how the children learn about how things work and develop important foundational relationships and skills. 

The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.

The educators recognise that every child is unique and that they bring their own needs, interests and strengths with them each day. The program is designed to be flexible to cater to these differing needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive at Goodstart.

Deepti Gogna

My name is Deepti Gogna and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Forest Hill - Fraser Place.

I am passionate about early education and care and have been working in this sector since 2016. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Children’s Services and perusing Bachelor’s in Education, due to finish in 2023.

I strongly believe that your child’s first experiences in early childhood education should be positive as it establishes their attitude for learning for their whole life. The best part of my day is spending time with the children and educators. I firmly believe in creating a safe, positive, nurturing environment.

I feel privileged to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the incredible children that we educate and care for every day. We have such an important role to play in establishing solid foundations from which the children can grow.

I work closely with my team who shares my passion for helping children meet their potential. They are dedicated, professional, experienced and highly qualified. As a team we provide constant support and guidance of daily practices and curriculum delivery, to ensure our learning outcomes are achieved within the approved learning framework.
