St Ives Chase Kindergarten is a licensed multicultural Centre catering for up to 40 children aged between 2.5 - 6 years for 1 - 5 days per week.
We provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment where children can become active learners, exploring and learning through a wide variety of experiences and activities each day.
We provide a varied program for all children based on the children’s interests, observations and family input. The Centre’s program incorporates the Emergent Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework. At our Centre we encourage family input into the program and believe in creating a strong link between the home and the Centre. All staff attend regular training and seminars to ensure they are up to date with current early childhood practices and information. The Centre has been assessed under the current National Quality Standards.
The centre's spacious natural playground and variety of equipment offers endless opportunities for play, exploration and imagination amongst the children. With a mud kitchen, worm farm and sensory and veggie garden as well as a cubby house, climbing fort, slides, tunnels and sandpits children can enjoy this big outdoor area.
Both classrooms are filled with natural light, and provide an abundance of play and learning resources for the children to help develop their skills and growth. We provide a variety of educational programs that promote socialisation through stimulating play environments.
Children are made to feel welcome thanks to the bilingual staff and an orientation program designed to help children settle in. We have 2 classrooms in the Centre and each room is run by experienced and qualified Early Childhood Educators.

What the parents say
What the parents say
St.Ives Chase Kindergarten is a wonderful day care. All of the educators are always helpful and very caring of the children. Their days are structured with a mixture of learning and play, both inside and out, giving them a great place to learn and grow.

Our son loves it here. How can he not with all the outdoor space, the educators are lovely, genuine & thoughtful people with years of experience.
Mark - parent
We are so happy with St.Ives Chase Kindergarten for our child. We previously went to a larger and new daycare, but we feel that St.Ives Chase Kindergarten is a much better fit for my daughter. There is an incredibly warm and friendly vibe at every pick up and drop off, and we know our daughter is happy and comfortable with all of the educators. We love getting our daily updates and photographs on the parent app and we are so impressed with the range of different activities and educational experiences that are provided every day. Definitely 5 stars from us and highly recommend St.Ives Chase Kindergarten.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
At St Ives Chase Kindergarten, there are two classrooms for two age ranges, the Kangaroos (3-4 year olds) and the Koalas (4-5 year olds), with up to 20 children per day in each room. The children are able to engage in a wide variety of experiences that are planned to further enrich their development and provide a positive and supportive start to their education. The experiences planned offered are a balance of children led and teacher led, ensuring that the plans are relevant to the children and their skills and interests.
Teachers provide a heartfelt, caring, happy environment that inspires the children’s natural curiosity, and instils self-assurance in their innate abilities. Educators ensure that children will be fully prepared for their first years at school, and that they will become confident and involved learners, effective communicators, and have a strong sense of identity and wellbeing.
Meet the team
Meet the team
The highly experienced educators at St Ives Chase Kindergarten offer a secure and safe environment where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are explored, and discovery is celebrated. Relationships with families are key for the educators, as they recognise that families are a child’s first and most influential teacher.
With a low staff turnover rate, the team places great value on culture, whether it be a family’s cultural background, their family traditions and practices or languages spoken. They believe that it is important for children, families and educators to feel connected to the kindergarten, that their culture is reflected in their experience, that they belong. Educators communicate with families in person as well as through the centre app, where parents can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes. Educators are committed to helping each child reach their full potential.
Being an educator means having the privilege of witnessing amazing learning in the early years and encouraging that learning each and every day. It’s especially exciting to see young preverbal children demonstrate how much they already know about their world, people and things around them.
As an early Childhood teacher, I feel privileged to participate in their learning experience. I am committed to advocating for Children’s rights and inclusion practices. I’m passionate about connecting with our community through strong relationships to support families and children to thrive. It’s such a rewarding job and it amazes me every day that I play a small part in our children’s lives helping them grow and develop all their skills for life.

We absolutely love the warm staff, community vibe and huge space here, couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff are absolutely amazing - every one of them. They’re so warm and have created a wonderful community environment that we and our children are grateful to be a part of. Both our little ones had a great transition into their first experience of childcare here, our little girl when she was 3 and our little man when he was 2.5yrs. The app posts show how much fun they’re having whilst learning so much through all the well-structured, play-based activities. All the concerts and parades the children do at various points through the year are absolutely fantastic and heaps of fun to watch. Our little girl is off to St Ives North Public School next year and we feel this preschool has been excellent preparation for her. She has also made several great friends that will be starting school with her too! Read more
