Journey Early Learning Centre Alphington offers high quality care and education for children aged from 6 weeks to pre-school age. We provide a safe, stimulating and fun environment, recognising the individual needs of each child. Our aim is to provide services that are responsive to the changing needs of families and children attending the centre.
Our team are passionate educators who pride themselves in providing high quality care and education to children in their early childhood years.
We work with local services to enhance our program curriculum. We have developed special relationships with Kiddy Rock who are a music and art collective who make and play music, getting the children involved, with age no barrier. We also offer a sports program from Little Sports Heroes that builds on balance, movement and coordination for the 3-5 year olds. We are excited to offer a Nature Play Excursion into the local parklands for our 4 year old kinder program, carrying all we need to explore the natural environment with our educators.
We offer a kindergarten program for 3 year old children and a funded kindergarten program for 4 year olds which is run by qualified Kindergarten teachers.
Each year, our service implements a host of events that cover multicultural celebrations, Australian history and the Aboriginal culture.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
