Welcome to Kidz Retreat

As a family owned childcare centre we provide long daycare for 77 children aged between 3 months to 6 years, with five separate rooms , Nursery 1 (3months to 18months), Nursery 2 (12months to 24months), Pre-Kindy (2years to 3years) and Kindergarten (3years). We have a second building "Kindy house" which is a dedicated 4 year old Kindergarten program- this building has a large open plan main room which features a Kitchen for children to bake in, a large dining room for all meals and a further 3 rooms for a range of uses such as; Light and Sound studio, Drama room and a Quite room for relaxing and reasing stories.

In our main building we have a dedicated Dining room for all children from the Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten room to enjoy all their meals with our Kitchen attached where our Food coordinator prepares lovely home cooked meals during the day.

Our 3-year-old program and 4-year-old Kindergarten is a Literacy and Numeracy based program which is taught daily by our 2 Early Childhood Teacher's. Your child will participate in a specifically designed learning environment that is guided by the principals and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework and the WA Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines. We are well resourced with quality toys & equipment to meet all children's needs. Our framework is play based and is centred around the individual interests of the children. We also incorporate incursions into our programs on a regular basis.

We supply all children with their own Sun Smart bucket hat and supply most nappies that are required during the day.

We have a range of animals at our centre that we believe form a valuable role in a child's learning and development, ranging from Tutrles, Fish, Rabbits and Chooks just to name a few. Caring for animals gives children an opportunity to learn how to be gentle, nurturing, show empathy, compassion, and to be responsible in a caring role. Children are encouraged to handle the animals correctly and animals care skills such as assisting at cleaning and feeding times. Animals also decrease a child's stress levels and anxiety, whilst meeting the emotional needs of children with their affection and unconditional love.
