At SDN, children are at the heart of everything we do, including prioritising their safety, wellbeing, and inclusion. We are committed to upholding the NSW Office of the Children's Guardian's child-safe standards and creating a village where all children can thrive. 😍 Every child has the right to feel safe, and protecting children is everyone's business. Everyone at SDN—Board Directors, staff, and volunteers—has a legal, ethical, and purpose-driven responsibility to foster a child-safe culture. 🧡 From our centres' physical environments to how we listen to and promote children's rights, every action is designed to safeguard them. We ensure strong policies, procedures, reporting lines, and training while encouraging staff and families to "see something, say something". Complaints, concerns, and allegations are always taken seriously. ✅ If you want to learn more about how to keep children safe: 🔸 Learn more: www.sdn.org.au/child-safe-organisation 🔸 Additional resources: @braveheartsprotectkids and @raisingchildren.net.au 🔸 Parenting support: @parentlinensw (1300 227 464) 🔸 Mental health support: @lifelineaustralia (13 11 14) #SDNChildrensServices #SDNVillage #ChildSafety #ChildrensWellbeing #ChildProtection #ChildSafeCulture #CareForKids

As the year wraps up, SDN is proud to share that we've positively impacted 5,235 children and families across our village. 🙌🙌🏻🙌🏾 This is a 9% increase from last year, driven by a growth in the number of children at our centres and by supporting more children and families with additional needs. 😍 We also actively advocate for inclusion in the wider early childhood sector, supporting 363 other service providers through agency programs (such as Start Strong Pathways, and Child & Family Interagency). As we approach our 120th year, we're excited to continue supporting children and families in inclusive environments. 🌟 #SDNChildrensServices #SDNVillage #SDN120 #OurImpact #ChildrensServices #EarlyChildhood #Inclusion #Advocacy #CareForKids

Building strong relationships and fostering open communication between educators and families is key to supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development. 🥰 This is the advice shared by our SDN Early Learning Operations Manager, Catherine, in her sit-down interview with Care For Kids, as part of their #ChildcareVirtualOpenDay event. 🙌 Catherine also shares 5 tips for families on how to develop positive partnerships with your child's educators—from asking questions about your child's progress to volunteering your time to get involved in their learning. 🧡 Don't miss the full conversation at: https://www.careforkids.com.au/open-day#sdn (search for 'Strength in Bonds' by SDN Children's Services) #sdnchildrensservices #sdnvillage #careforkids #childcarevirtualopenday #earlychildhood #earlylearning #relationships #communication #participation #partnership
