Red Apple Early Learning Centre - Balwyn North Centre overview
Welcome to Red Apple Early Learning Centre - Balwyn North!
They say it takes a village to raise a child. At Red Apple, we are your village. Being based in a house, we strive to provide your child with a safe and caring environment just like home.
The Red Apple Promise: 9 Principles That Guide Our Early Learning Program
- High-quality child care -We are 100% committed to delivering the best childcare program possible. Being a small centre, we are able to cater to individual needs, recognising the strengths and requirements of each child.
- Nutritious meals -We are proud to have a chef on-site to whip up fresh and healthy meals for the children. Our menus are designed in consultation with Nutrition Australia to ensure they meet national standards.
- Innovative curriculum - Our curriculum is designed to teach children 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. We make education fun, providing the perfect mix of free play and guided learning.
- Stimulating environment -Every section of a Red Apple centre is carefully designed to create a sense of wonder and discovery for your child. We want Red Apple to be your child's happy place, where they are free to play, learn and explore in a safe environment.
- Qualified educators - All the educators in our team are highly experienced in the early childhood field and bring unique skills and knowledge to the team. We have very low staff turnover and believe in the continued professional development of our staff.
- Community connections - Through excursions to the local community such as the neighbourhood supermarket, post office, police station and aged care village, the children learn how society works, creating a sense of wellbeing and belonging.
- Focus on sustainability - We are constantly trying to improve our carbon footprint through a variety of sustainability programs such as worm farms, composting, recycling, saving water, and growing our own vegetables in the garden.
- Diversity and inclusion - The Red Apple family is a rich and vibrant blend of cultures. While Australian and Aboriginal history is an important part of our program we also celebrate the different cultures of our families such as Chinese New Year, Eid, Greek Easter and Diwali.
- Collaboration with families - Red Apple Early Learning Centre is your early learning centre. We are always open to parent feedback and suggestions. Parents are welcome to contribute to our learning programs through story-telling, songs or sharing any other activity of interest.

Love the delicious healthy meals prepared by the inhouse cook - my child comes home telling me she ate everything! My daughter has been at Red Apple for almost 3 years and has loved it since the day she started. The staff genuinely care for the children and build lasting relationships with them. There has been little to no staff turnover in the time we’ve been there which is wonderful for the children, my daughter has become attached to so many of the educators. There are plenty of activities at the centre, the children are always laughing and enjoying themselves when we are there. They also have an in-house cook so the children get fresh, healthy meals every day. We have already enrolled our son to join once I go back to work - it’s so comforting to know he will have the same two amazing educators our daughter had when she first started. We are so grateful we found Red Apple. Read more
