First Steps Learning Academy is a privately owned family run business that strives for excellence in early childhood care and education in a safe, inclusive, welcoming, fun and nurturing environment. The centre believes strongly in collaboration and forming lasting partnerships with our parent community. This collaboration provides invaluable information relating to individual needs as well as cultural backgrounds and heritage.

Kirrawee's bright, colourful, neighbourhood Centre is located in the heart of the Sutherland Shire only a few minutes’ walk from Sutherland North Primary School. With two large indoor learning spaces and a dedicated nursery area the environments reflects the strong family oriented nature of the suburb. Each room is filled with a wide variety of learning stations include puzzles, books, musical instruments, sensory play, home corner and dramatic play.

First Steps Learning Academy communicates with families via Storypark and also displays important notices on our front door. Unfortunately some families have muted notifications and don't always see these announcements. Family grouping is an important part of any child care routine. It's a wonderful way for siblings and friends to share time together and explore their learning environment. Children from different age groups do come together during this time, however the education programs is always adapted to be age appropriate and we exceed the regulatory requirements for educator to child ratios.
