The educators at Goodstart Early Learning follow an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey.

As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.

The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles. From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Most importantly, the children learn through play, developing social skills, confidence and independence in addition to more formal academic skills.

My name is Elnaz (Ellie) and I’m honoured to serve as the Centre Director of Goodstart early Learning Blackburn- Springfield Road.

I have been in education industry for over 20 years and my journey has been deeply rooted in the belief that every child deserves a strong foundation to grow, learn and thrive.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in science in 2002 and started my career in teaching. Over years, I’ve had an opportunity to work with various educational professionals, attend specialized training programs and found my passion in Early Childhood Education, so I completed my Diploma in early childhood education in 2015 and that has further equipped me to lead and nurture this centre to the best of its potential.

At Goodstart Blackburn-Springfield rd, our mission is to provide a holistic, enriching, and safe environment for all the children. We focus on a balance approach, where cognitive, emotional, and physical development go hand in hand.

I believe all children are capable individuals with their own thoughts and ideas and love to see children’s own personalities grow and develop whilst in our care.

I take an open leadership approach in which I encourage all the children, families, and team members to come together and collaborate to make decisions. I’m always available to discuss any questions or ideas you might have about your child’s growth and learning experience.

Together, we can create a safe and supportive community that will enable the young citizens to flourish.
