Our daughter started at Edinburgh ELC at the beginning of this year and we have been absolutely blown away. Our daughter is learning so much and is absolutely thriving in her environment. The teachers go above and beyond and up hold a great attention to detail. We can't thank Edinburgh enough for all the amazing work they do with each child. Such a fabulous school and definitely recommend. Thank you to all! xx Read more

Me, my partner and our 2 yo son had a tour with a lovely staff last Friday and was quite keen to send our little boy to this centre. Filled out the enrollment form, and came 3 days after to ask last few questions before handing in the application. (it is our first time sending our boy who was born and raised in covid situation, so we are very nervous and cautious about this process) We were “lucky” to meet the director of this centre who was absent last week due to health condition. She basically told us that she had no clue about the availability in the near future, and cannot be bothered to check the current wait list and give us any sort of idea of when we can have an opening. It’s not that we are firm on specific days, we are flexible to the extent that we can take any one day of the week to start. After expressing our intention of getting back to full-time work and my parter getting back to study in June as well as our reluctance of changing child care center after our son attending the first one, we hoped to at least get an indication of whether there is any possibility of an opening soon or it will be a long wait. The answer we get is: “I don’t know” and “You can simply put in the application and just pay $50 non-refundable enrollment fee and be on the wait list. It is ONLY $50, I don’t think it matters. People pay $450 to enroll in Edinburg college. Worst case scenario, if there is no place this year, the enrollment can carry through to next year and year after that. Your son can come back later.” Well…If the director of a child care center don’t even care about the family situation and cannot be even slightly more caring about a potential new family but instead treating us just like a number, how can we be sure that our son will be properly cared and looked after? If the director knew the chances are slim for us at the moment or this year, she can simply told us that. We can make our decision to either find other center for the time being and be on the wait list or not considering Edinburg at all. The whole time, my gut feeling told me “No”. Now I understand why, the director is not even listening to our situation and try to help us. We now decided NOT to send our son to this centre even though we liked it, a lot actually at first sight. But, having a leader like this, we are not sure how the staff would not be influenced. I am sure the director would not even care about this. I am writing to tell other families who are thinking about sending your loved one here. Do a little more research. p.s. $50 might not be a big matter for us but CARING is. Read more
