My daughter vomited outside of the centre (she does not attend there but we were visiting spar) after a trip to the drs. I went in to ask if I could have something to clean it up - a bucket or hose or something as it was right outside their gate. I had one lady looking while my daughter and I were crouched by the front door awaiting this as she was still having tummy pains and I was rubbing it for her. I was approached by another staff member who looked down on me with judgement and forced us to wait outside. She came back a few minutes with an empty formula tin and said that’s all she had. I mentioned again, I just wanted something to clean it up for them as I understood it’s not a nice thing to see outside their gates. She rolled her eyes and said she doesn’t have anything to clean it. I was quite appalled at her attitude towards me. I was trying to do a nice thing by cleaning up my child’s vomit as not to affect their reputation (a rep of being located beside a bottle shop 🫠) as vomit is never a sightly thing but was greeted with unfair judgement. Her entire attitude, look on her face and body language was horrible towards us. I wouldn’t recommend this centre or the director (I’m assuming that’s who spoke to me). It reignited my gut to never send my children to this centre or engage with any of the staff ever again. Read more
