“Morning Buds Early Learning Centre strives to providing a welcoming and care environment that feels like home, a place where children, families, educators, and the community feel valued and respected, a community where everyone can belong, be and become.
Belonging: We acknowledge that relationships are the cornerstone. We are attuned to children’s feelings and thoughts, and encourage the development of secure attachment and a strong sense of well-being. We consider our teachers and staff to be our treasures, respect their professionalism and appreciate their love, dedication and commitment. We value families’ experiences and knowledge, and respect their beliefs, cultures, languages, traditions, religions and life choices. We engage in building strong connections with community and collaborate with different professionals to provide best support for children and families.
Being: We believe that all children have the right to high quality education and care. We believe children learn best through play. We provide a safe environment for children to explore, learn and grow. We recognise the individuality and competence of children. We are responsive to children’s interests, needs and strengths and draw on our understanding of child development and theories and the Early Years Learning Framework as the basis for education. Our programs and environments, both indoor and outdoor, are designed to be inclusive, promote competence, independent exploration and investigation, ensuring that children have adequate opportunities to engage in discovery and learning at their own pace and leisure. We encourage children taking time to discover, develop and practice skills, make choices and have an opinion, take risks, experience success and learn from failures.
Becoming: We believe that learning is a lifelong endeavour. We believe that all children are capable of success, regardless of their diverse circumstances and abilities. We nurture children with the drive to learn, the energy to explore, the scientific and creative thinking to become active participants in society. We encourage and support our educators’ continuous learning and professional development, as well as challenge their critical thinking to reflect their practise in order to provide the best education possible for children. We encourage children, teachers, families and communities to form a reciprocal learning relationship in which we each learn from and from each other.”
