Some workers spoke of children in an unprofessional manner and when observing the Kindy room at drop offs or pickups I have seen a few instances of toys being snatched out of hands by an educator. Unfortunately (especially in Kindy room) the educators don't have a full understanding of child development. I removed my children from this daycare about 6 months ago now and have seen such a remarkable change in my (just turned) 4yr olds behaviour. He is doing amazing because he has the right educators who obviously have an understanding of child development and who genuinely care. They have helped him, supported him and not just deemed him as naughty like this daycare did. The fear and anxiety I was experiencing everyday at drop off and pickup was like nothing I have ever experienced. The behaviour the educators were describing that my child was doing during the day just didn't seem like my boy. It's like they added to his anger, he wasn't understood. I should have seen it earlier and still to this day I get upset I left my boy there. I never really had a problem in the toddler room with my other son except for the fact he was bitten 1-2 times a week. The mangers excuse was that it's just the other childs age and pretty much said it was my son's fault because he kept going back to play with the child that bit him??? Like what... I have not had a single biting problem with this new daycare. I get for it to happen once here and there but for it to happen so constantly, I knew they weren't supervising the children as close as they should have been. I hope this helps other families.
